13th ffs mate!

Bowyer gone if we finish 13th
Rhodes gone also
Most of the supporters won't show up
And Rupp can do one too!

It has to be automatic

 

Haha, well what do you want me to say mate? Thats my honest opinion and I said id be more then happy to be proven wrong! We all want what's best for our club, every fan of every club wants automatic promotion or to win the league or the champions league etc etc. But demanding it on a message board at every turn won't make it happen unfortunately

 

Much depends on Rupp. Jury’s well and truly out for me, actions speak louder than words. He has a lot of work on, to repay the fans.

As for sights for next season, we have to aim for automatic promotion, whether that’s achievable - see the paragraph above. I think in Bowyer we have a manager that could do ok, but once he gets to assemble his squad, the pressure is on him to deliver. It certainly won’t be easy, it never is, and it certainly wasn’t last time we found ourselves in league two.

 

You disappoint me Fordy. I would have expected you to say anything less than Champions is unacceptable!

 

Get that right and the chances of us being one of the 4 teams that go up will improve massively.

Also agree re. a return to stripes. Bring back that gold fag packet away kit from the history makers years, too.

 

If we finish 13th in the bottom league I’ll gladly give up and call it a day.

 

I’m quite pessimistic about moving a lot of the current squad on and frankly have lost all faith in the club to have a decent transfer window. Don’t think we’re getting out of L2 next season, expecting us to be mid table but personally I’ll take a season of stability but then we MUST push for autos. Think if we’re leaving League Two next season it’ll be the wrong way. But then I would; I am a massive pessimist

 

We're not going to get a complete squad overhaul mate.

I think we need to ship out Reeves and then with the rest ask who wants to really be here and make it clear if they will have a chance of being part of the squad.

Bowyer will want to bring his own players in but it really all depends on Mr Rupp and the money he is willing to give him.

No season rest or 5 years to address the mess bollocks like @wetherbywhaler says.

It has to be automatic next season! No excuses! Has to be!

The longer it takes for us to get out of that awful league the worse it will get for us and we will lose lots of fans.

I know there is no guarantee of anything but if we're not challenging for auto promotion and minimum playoffs then I'm going to be pretty disappointed. All depends on Rupp tho really he's the man with the power time to see what he's made of!

 

My primary expectation is that he gets backed to be ruthless in tearing up this squad and building a new one. Then I expect to see a team based on doing the basics well, having pace and a genuine goal threat. Minimum, we have to be in and around the playoffs and with a side that can be built upon and which can grow the following season if we don't go straight back up. In many respects we need to bounce back straight away - but we have a shocking record in terms of performance the season after a relegation. Max 2 years at league 2, or we'll drift indefinitely.

I'd love to be more ambitious and demand an automatic top 3 finish. And it's not an unrealistic aim in terms of club size. But there's a lot of rebuilding to do....

Oh, And I don't expect to see Chicksen, Knight-Percival, O'Connor or Wright in Bradford City shirts ever again.

 

I hope we can sign P OConnor but I think we may have competition for him. Then another experienced commanding centre half to help bring him on then with Mellor at right back a new left back and keeper defence sorted

 

Moving Anthony O'Connor and Josh Wright on must be priority number one.

 

Promotion, anything other than that is a failure in my book.

 

I'd like to see a better keeper brought in, I think Bowyer bringing Wilson in suggests he's far from happy with individual mistakes which O'Donnell has been guilty of recently, and unfortunately Wilson is the same.
