Haha, well what do you want me to say mate? Thats my honest opinion and I said id be more then happy to be proven wrong! We all want what's best for our club, every fan of every club wants automatic promotion or to win the league or the champions league etc etc. But demanding it on a message board at every turn won't make it happen unfortunately

Depends on a couple of things;
Changing the culture of the last 18 months or so, something is rotten even six months after Edin left.
Shifting the shit players and replacing them with quality.
Starting the season well. Start badly and worries of a bad season will set inrmbenson007, Utters0, Tony Wilkinson and 9 others like this. -

My expectations are automatic promotion and that should be everyone's target inside the club - the board, staff, management and players.
However, that'll only be a possibility if Rupp sticks to his promises, which is anyone's guess really.Rcbantam, Ashton Bantam, Chad and 7 others like this. -
It all depends on Rupp. He's accepted responsibility, has vowed to back us and many fans suspect he feels some guilt with a point to prove. I guess we'll find out soon if he really means business.
what is 100% not acceptable is another relegation battle. Most of the players towards the bottom end of league 2 are barely legitimate professional footballers.punk bantam, marshy77, rmbenson007 and 5 others like this. -
I want to see a good hard working quality squad, not bothered if it is smaller. I want a proper pre season with plenty of competitive work outs. We should always strive for automatic promotion, but I am prepared if we don’t make it. However, all of the above depends on whether Stefan can find more money to invest. I don’t mean bringing in ‘big names’ but good experienced professionals, and up and coming young players. To be able to compete with other clubs for the very best we can afford.
I want the club to return to a normal working club, and get rid of the toxic atmosphere around the place.
I want plans for restructuring of the club, not just the playing side.Inspector, Briggus, rmbenson007 and 5 others like this. -

I've not enjoyed it either but we go again next season and i hope, as the next supporter, for a better season. I'm quite looking forward to seeing what GB can put togetherOnside, Bantam17, BoingBoing and 5 others like this. -

'Supporters' buy tickets for the coming season because they believe there is the opportunity, the chance, that it will be a good season, their team will rise above 'mediocrity' and achieve something.
If this was not the case no one would attend games for 90% of teams outside of the Premier League and 95% of teams in the Premier League.
I am playing fast and loose with the percentages I know but in real terms there are around 30 teams that have done something this year, 2 promotions and 4 playoff in 3 divisions and 6 Premier League Euro places.
So around 65% of all teams supporters who renew season tickets are settling for mediocrity.
At the final count once play offs are finished it is more like 85% have won nothing.
I REALLY think you are missing something in what 'I am a supporter' means.bcfc2015, Queenybantam, BoingBoing and 4 others like this. -
I'd love to be more ambitious and demand an automatic top 3 finish. And it's not an unrealistic aim in terms of club size. But there's a lot of rebuilding to do....

Hearing a decent budget next season and bigger than any we have ever had in league two.
Not sure how much of that is taking into account players we already have and may not get rid of.
Bowyer got a big rebuild job to do and I hope this week is spent getting his backroom staff sorted now the seasons coming to an end.BoingBoing, JonButterfield, bantam2708 and 3 others like this. -
Rahic has gone we have a new manager who by all accounts is looking at players already for next season, Rupp has said he will fund our club and any short falls and according to @Glenn Ackroyd video we have a top 3 player budget.
We either give our club financial support by buying a season ticket, merchandise, drinks, food, programes etc or we stay away.
If Rupp is sticking with us and is prepared to sort Rahic's mess out IMO the least we can do as fans is buy a season ticket.Petrov, BoingBoing, bantamlad92 and 3 others like this. -
The leniency, acceptance and even encouragement of Rahic's regime was best seen everytime Rahic delivered a self serving PR exercise.
Regarding the thread on Rahic's statement issued in September:
One of the most if not the most popular comment on there (19 likes) was a post stating that Rahic's apology won't be enough for some and that we should draw a line under the whole situation for atleast a few weeks.
Others comments include but certainly aren't limited to:
"I think most people's mind is made up and that’s a shame."
"I think he is a sincere man. He wants success and doesn't want to harm the club. He seems genuine enough when I hear him speak"
Those two comments sum up the attitude of many on a 25 page thread.
This attitude was also prevalent on the thread addressing Rahic's interview with Bantamsbanter and even when he wasn't pulling on the heart strings we still had absolute gems like this one:
"I for one want to get out their and state I am excited by the infrastructure work, the signings and the young coach we have.
Well done Edin and team.
Keep up the great work." (12 likes)
Or this
"Good luck to the new regime
I hope it works and I will back it until it dont".
There's plenty on here if you have a look.
Why do i bring this up? ( @How, @BoingBoing ill try to address your posts here). It perfectly highlights the mindset of a good portion of our fans which yes, i do believe has an impact on our success.
We have the fanbase to, at a bare minimum, make a sustained push Into the Championship year in year out. Those who have ambition instilled into them are prepared to take the required action to achieve success. Our fans aren't. They are happy to pay £150 for a season ticket to watch the general shite on display and in turn are happy to accept being a small club, not achieving much and relying on player sales and cup runs for success.Double the prices and attendances will drop off a cliff.
This lack of ambition and small club mentality stems from the general acceptance of rubbish. A complete shift in mindset from everyone assosiated with the club (including the fans) would result in action geared towards that mindset which would in turn give us a much better chance of sustained success. This can't happen for as long as we hail players like Breunker and are prepared to give guys like Rahic their 10th chance whilst slowly watching our club dwindle to nowhere.
It's not about acting like a better fan than everyone else, I'm often guilty of some of the above myself. It's an observation of how i think we can move forward as a club and i fully agreed with Bowyers comments on this sort of thing not too long ago.Ricc, Dubois, bantam2708 and 3 others like this. -
The few thousand that go to early cup games put more money into the club. They are doing their bit to help the club increase revenue. Funnily enough, they mostly seem to be the alleged happy clapping type that drink tea and "accept mediocrity". Maybe those that are desperate for the club to have a bigger playing budget should go to early cup games and buy cups of tea. Another 10k fans at each cup game might add £100k to revenue. Maybe the no-shows are the ones accepting mediocrity by not going to these games.

Bradford was a good city to grow up in the fifties and sixties and there are still a lot of good people who still live there.

Bradford the city where I was was born and bred was once a very prosperous city, it took full advantage of the wool trade, and Bradford was the main player. Of course now those that are responsible for its regeneration need to remember it’s proud history and take this City forward into the modern era. I absolutely loath the way ppl talk about Bradford now as if it has always been this way, we’ll no it hasn’t, and if you don’t believe me, do some research.Wesser, TallinnBantam, Bronco and 3 others like this.
