If you had read my submission (or maybe understood it) then you would have seen I stated the calling of Bradford residents 'losers' as harsh but that, it may be, that Bradford itself was a town that maybe deserved the moniker.

and I am not looking to be a 'winner' and certainly don't need the validation.

Bradford was a good city to grow up in the fifties and sixties and there are still a lot of good people who still live there.
Whilst I no longer live there I still regard it as home and to call Bradfordians losers is wrong

Correct. In the 50&60’s it was a great place to live. Bradford was the place to shop, none of the satellites of Bradford could compete including Leeds. Everyone from all around used to come and do their shopping. Great night out, if you lived in Bradford you hit the town at weekends and has a great time. Really look around you next time you go into the City Centre. Look at the buildings, they are beautiful, and they are the ones that they didn’t rip down. Go into the City Hall, then you will know, this was a very rich city, with lots of rich ppl who lived there and only wanted the best. Now then, the next time you are walking on Manningham Lane, look down, you will notice the pavements are exceptional wide. Yet another sign of wealth, the rich folk did not want their clothes dragging in the gutter, so they made the pavements wider. If you can look past the ruination of the houses, just look at them, they are all large houses, who no doubt had servant quarters as well.

Bradford the city where I was was born and bred was once a very prosperous city, it took full advantage of the wool trade, and Bradford was the main player. Of course now those that are responsible for its regeneration need to remember it’s proud history and take this City forward into the modern era. I absolutely loath the way ppl talk about Bradford now as if it has always been this way, we’ll no it hasn’t, and if you don’t believe me, do some research.

Bradford is far from perfect but few places are these days and there are much worse places to live - anyone that's been to a fair few away games would know this.

All the talk around mediocrity I think has a point, though I'm not sure "accepting medicority" is the correct phrase.

To me it's about holding the club to account. Who else remembers the 2007/08 plan to be ''back in the Championship in 5 years?". That never happened and obviously it's not a guarantee but what is our long term plan? What is the long term strategy? What are the short term tactical improvements that can be made? Where as a club are we moving forward?

I think the issue people are taking is that we are merely "existing" without any clear direction. Even under PP, Lawn and Rhodes, there wasn't a clear direction as it was all done on the back of PPs management rather than a coherent strategy.

We've been out of the Championship since 2004, that is far too long. For comparison, in that time, Luton have been promoted to the Championship, spent a few years there, been relegated all the way to the Conference, spent four years there and now have passed us on the way back to the Championship.

For me the lack of clear direction is the biggest frustration. We all know our limitations financially, but that hasn't stopped many other lesser teams reaching the second tier in the last decade and a half.

You think we'd get the same amount of people paying the standard going rate for a season ticket? you don't really believe that do you:

"The point still stands. How do we raise more funds to increase that budget? Putting up prices is not the way as many fans simply wouldn’t renew"

That's the pair of you I've caught out now and the sudden shift in opinion from yourself and How tells me that you have no idea what you're on about and are just disagreeing with everything i say for the sake of disagreeing.

By paying more the manager will have more tools to bring in better quality players.

That argument doesn't really work though, based on what we know (less people would renew if prices increased significantly).
8000 paying £250 would generate a similar amount to 14000 paying £149, so there would be nothing to gain in doing it, and potentially more to lose as there would be less footfall in the ground on match days and less people to buy shirts, merchandise etc.

Yeah but its affordable football m8. And playing infront of massive crowds makes a difference, like this season has shown.

I believe Leeds fans might have a little trouble believing that.
    And long may it continue.

You want to be known as cheap then don't expect sponsors to pay higher rates.

    You've to show value.

For me £150 is too cheap and like yesterday people are now not bothering going. They're picking and choosing games.

Anyway, I seriously doubt we can go lower than £150 now.

So your point is the club should charge more to generate more revenue for a larger budget for the manager?

Big budget went well this season.......

My point is and still is that good management will be the reason we get out of this mess. Fans paying more and therefore “not accepting mediocrity” is a poor point and doesn’t add up

Haven't you worked out yet why loyal Citys stayed away, and it wasnt the price of season tickets, I'll give you a clue he was German, he wanted to micro manage everything at our club,.

Surely what sponsors want is to be sponsoring a club that has many people in the ground as possible. Do you think honestly they'd be more willing to pay a higher rate if there are 7000 people in the ground paying £250 than they would be if there were 14000 paying £150?

Who is suggesting we should go cheaper than £150?
