Swinson was so much out of her depth, it was embarassing for her.

Not much between Corbyn and Johnson's performances.

I actually thought the most confident performer on the stage was Sturgeon, who managed to put over her views better. However, she did get a lot easier ride from the audience though, because the majority of the audience, like me, couldnt care less about her policies and wish for another referendum for independance.

Overall though, the debate made not one bit of difference to how I will vote, its the people who are undecided that need to be won over and swayed by such debates

If that rubbish last night persuaded anyone to vote or to change their mind they should be certified insane. Johnson comes across terribly but from what i've been told thats him demeanour, he's nowhere near as daft as he sounds. Corbyn comes across quite well, he's a decent orator, but its worrying just how much of the electorate don't trust him. i mean, come on he's literally been given this election on a plate and he's still behind in the polls.

As you may have deduced. I am an out and out Conservative. However, I will admit, if Labour had a decent leader without extreme left wing views, they would probably win this one

As much as I despise Blair he would have walked this election. You have to have the backing of the public and because of Corbyns past and his strong left wing leanings he just doesn't have the support. Got to choose your leaders wisely if you want a place at the top table.

Blair would have won this election hands down, He was the best Prime Minister in modern times we have had in this country for the poor and working class ( not the left or Corbyn supporters as they are rarely either ) and a shame he was forced in to retirement by dunderhead Brown who was totally unsuited to be a PM,

He is a left wing supporter of armed terrorist groups. Most sane people would call that extreme,

Nothing about Corbyn or Labour's manifesto is extreme.
The proposed Labour spending is slap bang in the middle of the standard across Europe (data from a thinktank chaired by a former Tory minister, so no accusations of bias).

95% of people would pay the same amount of income tax they're already paying, you can calculate it yourself here https://calculate.forlabour.com/
It's just hysterical nonsense from people who get their news from the Mail and Sun front pages.

You would have to be really gullible to believe that guff, The expert view from the institute of fiscal studies gives a fairer view of the party that left a note in the Treasury saying there is no money left we have spent it all the last time they were in power,

The proposed increased intervention of the state is wildly extreme in this day and age, you'd think some old fuddies with a 1975 mindset were in charge, oh wait a mo'...............

The NHS? Show your facts and proof that there is any intention of selling the NHS to the USA. There is none. It's bullshit. What the NHS has is profitable data, and if value from that can be used (sold) to to enhance and increase patient care then that's ok by me, it's not as if the NHS functions correctly under whatever government we've had in the past 50 years or will it under any future one, unless something changes.

Posting to take my mind off the Plymouth match.
Amber, one of the most ridiculous claims so far in the election hubris has to be that the Tories will sell off the NHS, Labour caused the biggest damage to the NHS, introducing PFI initiatives which allow private companies to rape NHS trusts for buildings and infrastructure. Typical politics really, lovely new buildings, let’s not worry how we pay for them!
The scaremongering appears to be around opening up the NHS to US drug companies, not sure why a free market can be anything but good as more competition will drive down prices. FACT - currently the NHS are forced to pay way over the odds for certain relatively cheap drugs because the market is locked to competition.

If anyone privatised the NHS it was done under Labour, Private clinics and hospitals were allowed to operate and take work from the NHS and now do a large percentage of operations and treatment outside of NHS hospitals, If anyone sold the NHS it was Labour

My grand daughter had her tonsils out yesterday at a Shires Hospital in Leeds and the wife said they could not do enough.

Yes been there with relatives paid for by NHS, it has great facilities and care is first class, They do a lot of NHS work as do the rest of the private hospitals now, Had an ultrasound examination and expected to be at the local LGI but it was at a private clinic called Living care which was full of NHS patients.

Johnson selling the NHS is fake news pedalled by Corbyn in a desperate attempt to attract floating voters
