Someone ought to start this so here we go and it might as well be me.....!!!

Listening to comedy Corbyn today it's clear to me that anybody not on benefits would be a target for Labour if we were stupid enough to let him in...
Talk about politics of envy he could not be clearer...
He targets the rich yes as if they found their wealth in a lucky bag, disregarding that these people employ thousands of workers, the guy and his cohorts are clearly insane, they want to change our country and make us all equal, get ready to be measured up for your blue cotton overalls...!!
Seriously he is about as much use to this country as a speed bump....

To be honest I haven't a clue how the election is going to pan out except that I think the SNP could make a clean sweep in Scotland

From a relatively impartial view it seems to me that Conservatives have nailed their views on Brexit to the mast. Liberals have nailed their views on Brexit to the mast and the various leaver/remain parties have nailed their views to the mast.

The only party that seems like it changes its mind as often as the weather up here in queensbury is Labour.

I get that people vote one particular party, well, just because they do but I honestly don't see even one particularly redeeming feature of Jeremy Corbyn.

Maybe I'm mistaken but the bloke is massively unlikable, hugely hypocritical and completely erratic in his parties views. Although anyone that holds Diane Abbott in such a high esteem must be just the slightest bit imbalanced.

Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott. Has there ever been such a frightening prospect in British politics than the thought of this trio running our country?

I hope the people tempted to vote Labour come to their senses and resist.

Trump is 100% correct in saying we would be in a bad dark place if this Marxist trio seize power

Problem with Labour at this present time is they defeat themselves rather than being defeated by the Tories. They are damaged goods and it could be argued they are damaged beyond repair meaning the Tories regain power each time, pretty much by default.
And the shameful thing is this country desperately needs strong leadership from the next generation of politicians to take this country into the next couple of generations. The infrastructure of this country is in dire need of investment and direction, would you trust any of the present incumbents in the commons to be able to deliver an amazon parcel, let alone the next fifty years of this countries future.

Agree that British politics is in a bit of a collective mess, and I am not sure it is all down to Brexit.

I have always voted Conservative since Maggie charmed me just after I became of age, voting wise. I had seen the country in ruins under Callaghan, after I left school ion 1976, and I was determined to vote for anyone that could unseat the Labour puppets orchestrated by the unions.

Tony Blair has been the only Labour leader to offer genuine hope to the country in my lifetime, but Bush had too much influence over him in the end, culminating in the illegal invasion of Iraq, based on too many lies and spin by Alistair Campbell. The tragic death in 2003 of Dr David Kelly still doesn't sit right with me.

Fast forward to today, and the Conservatives have no credible opposition. Labour with their 3 pronged Marxist attack, or a Lib Dem party who will rip up the wishes of the majority that voted in the referendum, without so much as a blink of an eye, never mind debating the merits of doing so.

I would like to see a Conservative pact with the Brexit party and storm to victory, and let Boris get on with running the country, and Farage assisting in finally getting us out of the EU

Your first sentence says it all Idle. This country is in a mess, pretty much all of it down to the sheer ineptitude of both sides of the house. Brexit has wrongly been used by some as the catalyst for this when in truth Brexit is a byproduct of their incompetence. lack of investment, particularly in the north of England, has left thousands of disenfranchised voters looking at their towns/cities/communities dying a slow painful death. In all truth voting brexit probably won't change this but it was the massive wake up call this country needed, politicians continually talk the talk but when it comes to walking the walk constantly achieve nothing.
Blair was essentially a tory in labour clothing. Had some good ideas like investing in schools and hospitals, unfortunately we will still be paying for it for years to come. The Iraq war showed his true colours though, i guess when they find the 'weapons of mass destruction' they'll find Sheargar and Lord Lucan as well. And Dr Kelly was collateral damage. But give the bloke credit, he plays the game well, a fortune going upwards of £100 million testament to a man who knows how to play the system. A mini Donald Trump if you like.
As for the Lib Dems, they are as relevant to politics as Michael Collins was to football league management and should be consigned to the wheely bin.

Don't believe everything that Blackford and Sturgeon spout. At the last General Election there was a lot of tactical voting by people who do not want another divisive Independence referendum and this could happen again.

I agree the Tory party would be stupid not to take the Brexit party into coalition if they get returned with a small majority, they could join together and delivered brexit, even though Farage says the present deal is not brexit,
Putting candidates into continuances they could win would make them very hard to beat, there may have to be concessions on both sides but not beyond Boris and Farage to get their heads together to deliver brexit.

What a choice. Probably the most right-wing Government this country has ever known or Jeremy Corbyn. I despair.

Its a tough choice. The fact we are discussing it just shows how unelectable the electorate think Corbyn and Labour are. Lets face it you should be able to put a corpse on the ballot paper and it should be beating the Tories, but the electorate have little to no confidence in Labour and its all down to their own doing. Constantly shooting themselves in the foot. If they had disappeared for the last three years then reappeared this week the Tories would have beaten themselves. As it is the last three years of Brexit have been just as much as a disaster for Labour as it has for the rest of the country. And i don't vote for either of them. Or anyone else for that matter. Sad because while this continues to stall the rest of the world continues to steal a march on us in terms of future development and we become less of an attraction to investment. Which is what its all about. Because without that investment this country is going backwards.

The biggest concern about this election is that the entire debate is focussed on Brexit. A big issue obviously, but this government will be in place for 4-5 years and therefore there needs to be some discussion about other policies and plans for the country (which I doubt we will really get).

I can’t say that the Uber rich, private schooled gang of Johnson and Co gives me any comfort about the future of our country (healthcare, education, police/fire services, etc) given their apparent total disregard for “normal” people. The depressing thing is that the alternatives are not remotely compelling either, so god knows that to do.

Granted, there are valid queries about Corbyn, his policies, how he plans to implement them and if his outlook is one that can take this country forward. He certainly isn't the anti Semitic, terrorist sympathising, incompetent fool the press make him out to be though. The U.K. Media, of which the majority is owned by right wing billionaires, simply see him as a threat to their right wing ideologies and there are far too many naive people out there who fall for the bullshit.
