Agree, Dylan wasn't just good, he was superb,put them on the backfoot and gave a display i have yet to see from either Vaughan or Donaldson.
Entertaining, no wonder wimbledon fans were not happy to see him loaned out.
Plenty of praise from others for Wood(crosses and some last ditch tackles), which is good to see.
Great effort from Cooke and Palmer and Pritchard.
O'Donnell a couple of important saves and Paudie keeping it all together at the back...........just.
Loved watching this game so no complaints from me.

 

I sit upper Kop and thought Donaldson handled it into the goal. But looked over to the linesman and he definitely didn't give it, neither did the ref until someone had a word in his earpiece. If the 4th official has ruled it out theres no way they could have seen it.

 

Good to hear Bowyer post match say that he loves to play with wingers. He said nothing better than seeing old fashioned wingers getting the crowd off their feet

 

Regardless of whether he caught him, he gave the referee a chance to even it up. Complete stupidity and that's now 2 big mistakes in 4 days. Someone needs to have a quiet word and just express to him that he really needs to learn from those mistakes.

Those aside though, he's been very good so far and his physicality will certainly be a big miss over the next 3 games.

 

I wouldn't play one up front at home to anybody in this division, that's why I specified "away matches" and even then it's only against the perceived tougher teams in the division.

 

I'd stick with 4-4-2 at home to Swindon, and I'd play Cooke & Palmer - but if we get overrun and fail to get a result, I certainly won't be blaming Bowyer.

It's a risk, but one we should probably be taking at home - if we get hammered, at least we lived by the sword.

A few been sniping at Palmer recently, look what happens when you stick a good player alongside him, no one can boss a midfield on their own, best performance in a city shirt, Cooke very good too

We were excellent all round 2nd half

 

The first sending off completely changed the game. Up to then it was a pretty even and quite a turgid game of football bar the odd run from Connolly. After that it ws an entertaining game of football. Connolly man of the match for me although all the midfield played well, Palmer had his best game for the club.

 

Always a bonus to get one over on Pressley. Donaldson worked tirelessly right to the end.

 

Was it a foul on him first though?He was rugby tackled into the ball. Hardly intentional

 

Completely agree. Those running in the pitch will get the club into bother.
We’ve always had a minority of dickheads follow city as have all clubs but this shows they don’t give a stuff. Celebrate goals as we all do. But do it in the kop not on the pitch.
The one who took a swing at a steward should be banned and brought before the courts.
If they encroach fine them £100 every time.
It’s ridiculous.

 

I know, incredible isn't it that the 4th official from where he was standing could apparently see a handball but couldn't see the rugby tackle from NKP before it that should have resulted in a pen!

 

I think there will be one change - Paudie for Anthony.

You would think that Cooke would be ready now to start, he must have had pre-season training at Posh, or was he injured over the summer?. However, Bowyer still talks cautiously about his imminent chances of being ready

 

For once just play the strongest 11, Paudie and Cooke to start for AO’C and Anderson, I won’t hold my breath.

 

No doubt miserable Pressley will send out his team to frustrate everyone.
I hope to see City attacking their central defenders with pace because NKP can't have improved from last season.

 

The same poster who said the only way to win at this level is by playing 4-4-2, now moans we’re tinkering because we’ve played it 3 games on the spin but lost our last one. You couldn’t make it up with some posters on this site, baffling doesn’t begin to explain some of the thought processes.

 

No Anderson in the squad. Finally the penny drops GB. Strongest line up we have available this for me. Happy to see this
