I agree it was a recklass challenge and where it happend any tackle was not reqiired, the reason Im asking is because Charlie Wyke did a similar tackle and we contested it over the Christnas period, on our way to Fleetwood we were told the club challenging the red and it was recinded, @wetherbywhaler doing the paperwork hence my post, if you ever try you'll never know.

 

Just watched the Donaldson disallowed goal on his twitter and it looks like their player took both City players out with rugby tackles.

What sort of reply is that, calling yourself a Bradford City fan and your more worried about topping your tan up .
Enjoy your break, not a classic yesterday but I do think Bowyer is nearer to knowing his starting squad and certainly at Valley Parade his prefered formation.

 

The tempo needs to vastly improve. I don't know whether it's a GB tactic but so lethargic starting games at the minute. Shouldn't take us to concede to bring them to life.

 

Video shows a clear penalty. Donaldson is trying to get up enough to put the ball in with his foot but the defender keeps an arm over his back to push him down again. He's then just trying not to stop it so it can go over on its own but actually lands on the ball with his chest and it's still unclear whether he touchs the ball with his arm - but observe that the defender is pushing his right arm down as Clayton tries not to touch it. As I thought when I saw it live from the reverse angle, I think it's a goal. If not, it's a penalty. Linesman and referee were right initially. 4th official is wrong and it's a ridiculous overrule.

 

I know, incredible isn't it that the 4th official from where he was standing could apparently see a handball but couldn't see the rugby tackle from NKP before it that should have resulted in a pen!

I was there WW and it was right in front of me. I would tell Gary not to bother wasting anyone's time in appealing

 

Yet the first 10 minutes we were all over them it was once they scored we had 10 poor minutes

 

Just watching west ham v man utd and Mark Noble has made a challenge near identical to BRE yesterday, in fact Nobles was worse as he was very high yet only got a booking even with VAR. I think it's worth an appeal in all honesty.

 

Genuine question for those that have seen both.

What was the difference between Ben's challenge and his red card and Mark Noble's challenge v Man U and his yellow (aside from the cards, smart arses!!)

I agree. It should have been a penalty. Ruling out the "goal" seemed to mean the officials forgot about the "challenge" on Donaldson.

 

Unfortunately I haven't seen Nobles challenge.

Why was Donaldson not booked by the way, if the ref disallowed the goal for deliberate handball?

 

And a red card for the defender. ( Was it NKP?)

 

First half hour i was falling asleep, it was dire league two football. Infact up to the sending off they were slightly the better side. The sending off opened the game up. The midfield had a good game, but one good has yet to convince me its good enough to get promotion. Apart from Connolly there is a distinct lack of pace that i would look to exploit an an opposition manager. Entertaining game after that half hour though, almost makes league 2 footy worth watching.
