Think he means Richards Everton. He's very vocal.

Him and AOC actually look decent together. Good communication between them and almost hunting in a pack. Albeit a small one but Mellor also dropping more centrally at times.

Palmer looks pretty tidy. High work rate and some decent long range passing.

Scannell has been OK but seems to be pacing himself.

    Donaldson holding it up well.

Couple of scary moments from O'Donnell but nothing to scream and shout about.

Allan looking a bit stronger but still turns too slowly and sometimes ends up in the way or gets bullied off the ball quickly.

Night and day, mate, couldn't be more different, could it?

Edin really was a one-man catastrophe capable of turning a promotion chasing side into the worst in the EFL.

Now he's gone, hopes for success are building right back up again.

    One man.

    Absolutely incredible.

You can't really call a club in league two that has Vaughan, Donaldson and Scannel on the books not ambitious Fordy, not even you.

James Vaughan literally led from the front yesterday and was a class above anyone else on the pitch. Donaldson was clever and used his vast experience to gain free-kicks in good areas and brought others into play. Scannell worked hard and looks to be enjoying life again. Another thing i noticed was how dominant Richards-Everton was at the back and occasionally brought the ball out from the back. Akpan kept Lee Evans quiet first half. All-round pleasing performance against what was a poor Wigan side who could really struggle on this evidence.

First use of the word ‘gelling’ this season.

Last year it was mentioned a lot, but they forgot the need for a gelling agent. Therefore the team just resembled a slightly viscous but ultimately, useless puddle.

A lot of clubs are similar size to the point of you can make a case for either, and both are insignificant compared to the big boys. Both us and Blackpool fall into that category, it’s like two bald men fighting over a comb not worth the argument. All I will say is we have far more potential for natural growth, however that rarely happens in modern day football, a sugar daddy is needed to take a club to the next level.

How is a “big club” defined. Is it gates, league position tradition and history. Blackpool are a good club with a great tradition recovering from a bleak period in their history.
To outsiders we don’t have quite the same background but because of our pricing policy we attract far more fans.
Both are good clubs to play for in my opinion

I’d like to see us win it as winning breeds confidence, no matter who is is against, and we need to wash away the negative mindset from last year. But if we lose, no, it isn’t the end of the world.

The signs have been promising and we look like we have a plan. Hopefully the team building exercises have brought the players together.

It will be interesting to see the starting XI as GB needs to be getting a good idea now. Who partners likely captain Vaughan out of Doyle and Donaldson?

Has Gibson done enough to edge ahead of Ismael for LW?

Will Akpan or Anderson partner Palmer?

Will Paudie edge out French and O’Connor to partner Richards-Everton? Or Will French and Paudie start??!

Will Riley edge ahead of Longridge at LB?

Has Mellor got first dibs on RB ahead of Henley.

Is he tempted to start Hornby over OD?

There’s only really Palmer, Scannell and Vaughan that looked nailed on starters IMO!

We haven’t learnt anything from the trips to Eccleshill and Brighouse that will effect the first team......

If fit, I would say the following are certain starters, the rest of positions up for grabs

    Mellor
    Paudie
    Scannell
    Palmer
    Vaughan
    Donaldson

First choice keeper will be interesting
    Who partners Paudie?
Longridge or Riley at left back?
new central midfield player to partner Palmer hopefully
ismail or new left winger perhaps?

One or two positions we have good options. But despite there being numbers available, I still think Central Midfield is by far the weakest area, has to be priority to bring one in

Need to start with 80% of the starting 11 and play them for at least 60 mins plus now.
