    It's pre season. Means nothing.

    As long as fitness, understanding is increasing and no injuries the result and even performance means jack all.

    Little promise and intent shown by City in the first half, from media reports.
    Being a goal down, I fully expect Wigan to come back out, and 'teach City a lesson'. But what do I know ?
    City would be well served to up their game, too.

    Think he means Richards Everton. He's very vocal.

    Him and AOC actually look decent together. Good communication between them and almost hunting in a pack. Albeit a small one but Mellor also dropping more centrally at times.

    Palmer looks pretty tidy. High work rate and some decent long range passing.

    Scannell has been OK but seems to be pacing himself.

    Donaldson holding it up well.

    Couple of scary moments from O'Donnell but nothing to scream and shout about.

    Allan looking a bit stronger but still turns too slowly and sometimes ends up in the way or gets bullied off the ball quickly.

    I genuinely think we have the makings of a good team here. Seem to have a bit of everything all across the pitch: pace, physicality and technical ability. Very early but we seem to have had a plan from Day 1 of the summer and have moved quickly to bring players in who fit that plan which makes a nice change from the last minute loan signings and free agents.

    As I was saying......City really DO need to step up and start playing like a top three side rather than just an also ran.
    Our final position last year was built on failure. Let's start this year positively ......
