    Whilst everyone is 'OFF TOPIC' in most threads ........... Let's just add to any interest .......
    Thinking about dripping ....
    My greatest culinary sauces have arrived from a meat base.
    ALL my meat is 3/4 fried in the same giant frying pan (thinking about a mixed grill, here), as some chopped potatoes boil. Said potatoes are then placed in the same 'mucky fat' and served as saute. Fantastic in Winter, or as a later meal in the fading Summer sun, outdoors.

    But back to today, and Wigan.
    A severe and true test awaits ....... Are City and GB upto it ?

    Hi Ronnie times changing unfortunately. Butt match day Peacock on North Parade do a free curry dish.They also do one of my favourite beers Jaipur 5.9
    a tad strong.

    For you guys in attendance today keep your eyes open to see if David Sharpe is at the game and who he's sitting with now he has no direct input into Wigan who knows where he might have interested in ownership or part ownership.

    Tut tut. Never bought dripping in my life. Half a shoulder of pork cooked slowly and you have enough dripping for weeks. The best gravy is done with meat juices and fat. Depending on the meat it will be either thickened with a couple of tablespoons of flour or Yorkshire Pudding mix.

    Wigan will be hard to beat, might even be a draw.

    Agree. But living on my own now - I haven't bought a 'joint' for about 3 years, down here.
    But YES - When back up in Shipley, you can't beat 'home made'. ;)

    Funny, really ......... I too use the dregs of Yorkie mix - My missus however thinks it's a no no.
