    Agreed. I’ve been concerned about the number of back post goals we concede, particularly down our right. A combination of Halliday and Smallwood seem incapable of dealing with the high ball.

    Yes he was fuming and rightly so. As you say, Edmondson was still warming his bum on the subs bench and didn't come on until the 2nd half. I don't recallI who drew the 'foul' but it was Whelan who fluffed his line in front of goal on this occasion.

    It was Alfie McCalmont I think who tried to con the ref with a dive. Should have been booked.

    A bit of a wild idea but could Bola do a job there? Natural left footer so would keep the width and give us the energy and defensive side of the job as well. Given he’s barely played this season it seems unlikely but it could work…

    Bit worried about this, the strength of a team is shown by the strength of it's subs bench. Does ours compare to theirs? Serious question. Wouldn't mind their number 4.

    Yeah, the good news is nobody has looked like convincingly beating the other his season.

    While I could see Carlisle winning by a goal and taking it to extra time, I can't see them winning 2 or 3 nil.

    I honestly think this match hinges on city’s tactics, get at the weakest part of their team their defence as we did first half Saturday and we have a great chance. But the lead is like scoring early which so far this season has resulted in a siege on our goal and often a late capitulation. I hope Hughes remembers how he made his name as a marauding centre forward
