    Loved it. Wasn't planned but ended up in the bottom corner of the Kop by the MR. When Hanson scored the winner it was absolute mayhem!

    I was commenting about our idiots (not any specific incident ) who if they carry on the way they have done recently we will all be penalised because of their actions be it flares, smoke bombs, causing trouble ETC, a reduction in away allocations with the EFL getting involved and fining our club, it doesn't have to be racist chants I would personally find opposition fans chanting about 85 equally as distasteful, there is no need for anything like that.

    The spitting. But you can't speak for our fans in plural if only one person is spitting (which is atrocious in itself btw - no excuses)

    You can't state someone might be exaggerating when you claim a whole stand chanting? That clearly is taking the moral high ground. We ain't playing some game of moral top trumps here, each club in the country has it's own set of fans who spout tedious crap at football games and that includes us. And yes, over the years I have heard racist comments from Bradford fans. Not many I add but it's still there.

    Believe it or not I think there is less racism in Bradford. I was Speaking to someone in the police over here a few weeks ago and he said it was because most people have been brought up in Bradford where migrants have settled and have many friends and acquaintances amongst them. It’s different in places like Scarborough

    Clearly my sarcasm went over your head RT, maybe I should’ve put a rolling eyes emoji. Yes I know it wasn’t a whole stand, but it was certainly more than a handful.

    As for scoring morality points, I haven’t got time for petty games mate

    If i've missed the sarcasm then apologies. I just don't like threads where it ends up as our fan base it better than yours. The common goal should be to eradicate racism from not just football but society in general, unfortunately this will never be allowed to happen. Too many people now invested in it from a career and finance point of view.

    I don't dispute for one minute that 'some' of our fans are at best disgraceful, however to say 'the whole stand was chanting' the racist stuff is just plain wrong. I was in the Paddock that day as I always am, and I didn't hear a thing, infact it wasn't until a couple of weeks later that this all came to light, so lets keep it in a bit of perspective eh?
    After saying that I completely agree we do have a set of morons who in my opinion should just bugger off back under the stone which they came out from under in the first place, also its quite ironic that we have (at last) had something to shout about and these kind of half wits suddenly appear.
    Anyway just want to say have a great season chaps and hopefully the Bantams can get back to where they truly belong in the not to distant future.

    In a charge letter dated 21 June 2023 The Football Association (“The FA”) alleged that Carlisle United, during the EFL League Two match against Bradford City on 26 December 2022, failed to ensure spectators and/or supporters (and anyone purporting to be its supporters or followers) conducted themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending the match.

    Accordingly, The FA charged Carlisle United with:

    • “Failing on 26/12/22 to ensure that spectators and/or supporters (and anyone purporting to be its supporters or followers) conduct themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending the match and do not use words or otherwise behave in a way which is improper, offensive, abusive, indecent, or insulting with either express or implied reference to race contrary to rule E21.1 of the Rules of the Football Association;
    • In addition, The FA alleged that the words and/or behaviour made reference to race contrary to FA rule E21.4.
    The misconduct of the Carlisle United supporters was not limited to an isolated incident, but involved three identifiable incidents of offensive and highly insulting racist chanting during the game.

    The club admitted the charge in correspondence dated 27/6/23.

    The FA Commission concluded it was appropriate and proportionate to issue a financial sanction of £7,500.

    In addition, it imposed that an Action Plan in accordance with Annex 1 to the Policy and Guidance was necessary in this case, in order to reduce the risk of further such breaches of FA rule E21.

    Carlisle United Football Club was formally warned as to future conduct.
