£2m would have put him as third highest transfer fee from League 2, and 5th in League 1.

The times we hear a “ Family member has said” . That’s less believable than Twitter!

I'm assuming though the 2 million (if true) will only be paid if a certain amount of 'goals' are achieved, such as, appearances, 'If' Swansea get promotion and then a possible sell on clause. Like everybody else on here I can't see them paying it upfront, if they did then that would be unbelievable.
And if Swansea were going to pay 'upfront' or close to it, then its absolutely unimaginable that Carlisle would turn it down, hence the reason why he's still here.

It’s smoke and mirrors. Can you show any evidence that any of this is fact , or just speculation from a “ Family”.

Well I've said enough now my friend all I can confirm is that it is someone who is very, very close to Mr Moxon.
Of course it may be complete BS, and he may have a hidden agenda, but I can honestly say this is what he said, he was speaking to myself and a good friend and we were standing right next to him when he said it. He didn't go into any detail, so I'm assuming my previous posts are fairly close to the mark if this is true.

if carlisle do sell him it will be for an undisclosed fee so it will all be guess work anyway but in my opinion no where near 2m

I’ll echo Park’s comment too Bry. Your lads played better than ours. Maybe it would have different without “that” substitution but we’ll never know.

And surely I’m not in a minority when I say that visiting supporters on here add to the site ? (In most cases).

I concur. Much rather Carlisle went up that the moneybags Stockport & Salford. It would be an offence to football if Salford rose any higher. Carlisle are a real club, and I've always enjoyed visits to your fair city (especially Botchergate !!)

Do you think he went defensively to hang onto a lead? as he wasn’t confident we could score again?

With regards the Carlisle match he said the decision was about taking it penalties, I just want him to have belief in his players and to let them express themselves within a formation that suits them

I will get pelters for this but if it had gone to penalties he would have been commended. even if banks was on the pitch that ball would have gone in.

I don't think there has been another time last season where we have conceded after putting a CB on.

if anything it was lewis that misjudged the flight of the ball. Most of our players that day had a stinker and as a manager you cant really plan for that.

its not about confidence about scoring - its about reducing oppotunties for the oppositison to score.

every time we have gone for it we have concdeded multiple goals due to the openness of the game.

Carilse play a style of football that absolutely punishes teams that get turned over.

really Hughes did the right thing that 99% of managers do but was just unlucky

Gillingham at home just a few weeks before that game. We brought Platt on in the 90th minute and conceded 6 minutes later. Pretty much ended any realistic attempt at the autos.

Wanting to go to penalties was madness. With who was left on the pitch at the time, who would have taken them?

Sorry mate Hughes did exactly the same substitution against Gillingham at home taking Banks off replacing him with Platt and guess what Gillingham equalised from a late corner, we were all gutted but if were honest Gillingham deserved a point.

which brings me nicely onto why I think we signed Ash Taylor! too many goals from corners and set pieces last year.

nothing to apologise for Bronco fella!

I don’t think that I could disagree with a post more.
We needed to win that game and the fact that you say Hughes was trying to draw it and take it to penalties stinks of his negativity.
We had them on the ropes for the first time in the tie when we scored. They literally sank to their knees and he surrendered the initiative immediately with that substitution. There is simply no defending it and I can’t believe that anyone would try.
Bringing a third CB on was a sub that failed numerous times throughout the season when we conceded late goals - Gillingham at home springs to mind straight away.
