We don’t need new players, we have a really good squad for the league.

We badly need a new management team, new ideas and new playing style.

 

The fans backed him before kick off but it took a mere 10 minutes for that to disappear. Today for me was his defining game, a chance to right the wrongs of the past few weeks and get the ship back on track against the worst form team in the division. And he failed. Not one solitary shot on target against a team with 1 win in 13 and no clean sheet in 8. Sorry, he's done, pack your bags and clear your drawers. And for all the apologists crying 'but who would we put in'? I don't f*cking care, you could let the lads manage themselves, cos lets face it, thats what that shambles looked like today. A team with no guidance or encouragement from a manager who should be heading for the door.

 

I think Rhodes will be on the phone to Rupp tonight to discuss this. When this season comes to its "bitter end" in May as it surely will. Bowyer will leave; he is not going to get another crack at this in League 2 next season. So the simple question is: given the clear evidence have we anything at all to lose (maybe a few quid?) But anything at all to lose football wise by sacking Bowyer & Dreary ? . Ans: No ! so I reckon he wont be in that dugout on Tuesday night and Rhodes will be picking the phone up to ask Stuart to take us on from here. We get the bounce factor; he gets a few days to do a couple of deals in and out l; puts sn arm round the players particularly Doyle and the place is rocking again. Right now thats the best plan for the football club.

Constantly changing the team and formation.
Asking players how much they can give whilst not knowing from training?!!
Signing Ismail when he knew his fitness couldn't see him play every match.
Having 8 CM's who all play the same role essentially and not addressing it.
Playing Vaughan and Doyle out of their favoured positions.

Getting Mellor to keep trying that effing attempt at a long throw when its not yielded one chance all season
Putting BRE and AOC together is a recipe for disaster, they argue all the time, in fact AOC argues with all his partners when he's to blame for most of it.
He is always scared to change a formation to go try and win a match when level, always swapping like for like.

Managers like this don't motivate, they are too pragmatic and put their teams out to not get hammered.
This is why he was brought in last year, to try and keep us up.
He's now showing why, as i highlighted in September, his win percentage is so low, why his teams get so many 0-0 draws.
Why he's not the man to take us forward.
I wish the club had the balls to have dealt with this situation after relegation.
Surely they would have had enough time to get to know the guy and see his training methods, seeing that he's not all that

I supported Bowyer and honestly thought once he got his full fit squad back he would get us back up and running, but he looked clueless today.
McCartan was not the answer along side Doyle yet he played the full game, we had no one with any presence up top something that Donaldson had yet he waited until the 76 minute to bring him on.
Sat here reading fellow posters comments whether they went or not you have to think is there any point in spending your hard earned money when you see a gutless performance like today.

 

Had we been cruising, bringing Donaldson on for the last 15 minutes or so to get him some game time would absolutely have been the right thing to do but we were losing 2-0. It's just poor game management pure and simple. We had a fully fit forward on the bench that just might have made a difference if they had been brought on earlier.

 

Shouldn't even be a debate about top 7 with the squad GB has at his disposal. Should be sitting in the top 3, it's his own fault the negativity is creeping in. Fans want promotion but we are regressing pretty quickly and the form table doesn't lie. Where are the goals and wins coming from to fire us to promotion? He's got a dream front line at this level and not utilising it. Fans want success and promotion but GB has his team playing like they are fighting for their lives against relegation. I want this club to show some ambition and get into that top 3 but from the board to the manager it doesn't look that way. Can you see this team winning a two legged playoff and a final essentially 3 cup games on the spin? His interviews are getting more bizarre by the day. Is the pressure getting to him? That paragraph doing the rounds on Twitter and Facebook saying it was a positive not to lose against Scunthorpe after coughing up a 2-0 lead at home. Is this the man we really want in charge? Seems more bothered about lack of defeats instead of the win column in my opinion. I want a winner in charge and Bowyer isn't that way inclined.

 

Its not losing......its the manner we have been done. Crap start, second best no chances and no idea... against poor sides not good ones .

 

There's no debate to be had anymore. The man is completely clueless and out of his depth. This job is too big for him. That performance was worse than a lot of performances last season which says it all.

No plan, no tactics, no idea.

Once you lose the fans to this extent theres no coming back.

The central midfield area is woeful. Reeves needs benching at best and Taylor needs releasing. Cooke should be playing with a midfield enforcer type that can prevent the opposition running 25 yards with the ball straight down the middle of the pitch.

I know it isn’t very far away (66 mile) and it will be a new ground for most, but potentially taking 1,800, given the dross we’ve been served up recently is not bad going IMO.

 

Well we are in a great position to achieve promotion wouldn’t it be better to leave all this Bowyer out crap until the end of the season to see where we are. After all what would happen if we sacked him today Drury in charge for at least a couple of weeks a new manager assessing a big Squad and unable to change anything. So like him or not he will be here till the summer when if he fails you can vent as much as you want
