Away vs Mansfield Jan 25th

Mansfield fans seem very confident...

How are we 5th and the 24th form team are confident of a win, jesus! Last season when we were down that end of the table I was expecting 5-0 from a team at the top

Haven't had chance to collect my Mansfield tickets from the ticket office (for some reason the post option was not available on the ticketing site even though I bought Oldham ones at the same time Sunday and they arrived Tuesday!) Does anyone know of the club will send the tickets to Mansfield for collection there ??

Well we'll be up against a different goalie tomorrow. Mansfield have sent the big lad who played against us before Christmas to Forest Green on loan until end of the season.

 

Last five home games for them - 2 x Draws 3 x Losses. "it's going to be tough boys, don't concede, a draw is a good result"

 

Absolutely incredible he is so negative it's hard to believe

Right lads we have the top scorer in country you just need to feed him
This lot have drawn 2 and lost 3 of their 5 home games lets go out and improve the goal difference
Reward the loyal fans who have followed us all over
And most of all get back into the autos
Instead of putting the players on the back foot we are practically beaten before we go on the pitch
Don't know which football management manual he has read but it wants chucking

I know. Amazing words from GB but I am sure there's a different set of words for the players.......but, then again, perhaps there isn't and we'll be passing back to the keeper at every opportunity

He does seem to set up the team to stop our opponents from using his perceived idea of their strengths. As opposed to using the abilities that our players possess.

 

Never mind the owners should have a plan in place for a replacement. The only plan Rupp should have is too get us sold. When things have been as bad as they have at this club for so long you start the cull from the top down, we need a new owner and rid of Rhodes as well. For once I agree with Fordy we need some footballing knowledge at the top, and business acumen with a dose of ambition. Otherwise things will not change.

 

Yeah, its not ideal being owned by someone who has no interest in football, the city of Bradford or even the UK.

I just wish there was someone interested enough to tempt him to sell. But of course the reports are that he wants too much to sell, so guess we are stuck with him

 

I agree unfortunately I don’t think anyone will be forthcoming, certainly not in the short to medium term.

But tbh I’m sick of it, I still go every week, but these last few years have knocked the stuffing out of me again, like in the naughties. Since the playoff final it’s been hard to get excited like I did under Parkinson and that season under McCall. I’ll keep turning up, but it’s felt more out of duty than excitement this last 30 months. And I’m worried how long it’ll take to change. Defeats just don’t bother me as they used to, even wins rarely excite me tbh. I’m sure it’ll come again, just wish it’d hurry up.

 

Despite vowing to knock away trips on the head after some recent shockers, found myself getting tickets today.
Very fearful of what will ensue if we lose or maybe even draw, I think it may get very ugly.
Hopefully we will see a win and a good performance, at last.

 

They're the worst home team in the league and are terribly out of form so yes it would be a bad result in my opinion. Gotta be going to these places and winning if we’re serious about the autos.

 

For Mansfield or Oldham, it's what we do mate.

 

A draw against the worst team in the division form wise would all be dependant on the performance. If its an attacking display with chances created then Bowyer will get credit, if its like the dross we've seen recently then I'd expect the boos to be getting louder than of late.

 

Yes it would be a terrible result, given the poor results against Scunthorpe, Orient, Carlisle etc.
