Away vs Mansfield Jan 25th

I get your point but we're in the basement league so a player with a track record of creating chances at this level is what we need. How many times have we signed someone with good pedigree on paper and they've ended up being ineffective.

They're not exactly glamorous clubs but that means nowt. The last player we got from Carlisle did ok!

Not expecting Messi but hoping for a player with a bit of flair about him, something we really lack

 

Mansfield have a better team than their performance suggests.

Having said that, they're on awful form.

Having said THAT, we only just beat them on our patch, where we're apparently the best in the league, via penalties.

I'm tempted to say we'll beat these 1-0 given how poor their finishing looked at VP, but 1-1 is just as likely. Actually, 0-0 also equally likely.

 

A final allocation of just under 500 tickets go on sale today.

I can see this selling out.

I know it isn’t very far away (66 mile) and it will be a new ground for most, but potentially taking 1,800, given the dross we’ve been served up recently is not bad going IMO.

 

Where's everyone drinking/eating? I've checked away ground guide but not sure which place would be best really. As the post above, this is my first visit to Mansfield.

According to some everything is alright and Bowyer is doing a fantastic job If that doesn't wake the happy clappers up I don't know what will??

@Bronco Will they be doing a training session tomorrow the day before the game? I'm interested to see Bowyer's methods and what goes on in training.

I was down today and it was weird, it looked like the majority who played Tuesday night got the day off, as they walked past us and along Harrogate Road maybe going to the cafe the other side of the road for a bacon butty, didn't take place in any traing, maybe they'll do an afternoon session
Donaldson was back, he and Devitt did a full session, I'd guess both could be back for Saturday, a few new faces training with us but none of us down there watching could put a name to them
I think they will be round the back and under the railway bridge tomorrow thats usually where they train on a Friday.

 

It appears there are a few on here who will only be happy if we drop out of the top 7. They have been preaching for months that it will happen and that we will drop like a stone to be cast off in mid table. Yet to see any evidence of this.

 

It certainly feels like there are some who would rather be able to say 'told you so' than see us promoted.
