As I understand it we're tied to Valley Parade until 2028/29 season ?, unless we pay the remainder of the lease, if there was any possibility of us moving to a new ground.
I agree with many City fans Valey Parade holds many emotional ties, but if a move away guaranteed the future of the club it would be madness not to move.

 

Peterborough are often cited as an admirable model - but as you say, MacAnthony is getting bored and has expressed interest in Newcastle United.

Peterborough, for all the exciting transfers etc, have been treading water for years.

Darragh sold half his shares; you can see the club are sustainable, but certainly not successful.

 

He sold half his shares to bring in two more business partners, he was in Hungary last week with them both looking at new stadiums regarding his long term future for Peterborough. Doesn't sound like he's jumping ship any time soon if he's looking at a new stadium. Also has another couple of assets on his books, Ivan Toney i would expect to go in the region of ten million plus. They've also made significant investment into their academy set up over the last two years. If we were run like that i would concede that at least we had some sort plan for the future.

 

Sounds like good, solid progress being made off the pitch - but you don't say you're going to leave if they don't make the play offs unless you're getting ready to leave.

And you don't announce your interest in buying Newcastle from Mike Ashley unless you have an interest in doing so.

You make some good points - but on the balance, I'd say as committed as he is to leaving Peterborough in a strong position, and he's done a better job with the investment than Rhodes and Lawn did with Rahic and Rupp (bringing them in WHILE he's there makes more sense than an immediate sale to foreign owners), I'd say the work he's done does nothing to imply he's there long term.

If you're going to sell your business and go to buy something bigger, getting the estate into top working order can only maximise your return...

And if he does leave, he's doing so in the best possible way. Respect to the man.

 

They will still say there is 14k + even if it’s under 10k because they now just look at your ticket it’s not scanned anymore my ticket has not been scanned for most of the games.

 

Season ticket sales get included automatically I believe.

So it's never going to be announced low, unless something has changed.

 

Yes agree it will not change because the value of the club is based on equity and obviously
city not owning the ground the assets are the fan base and if Ruppe wants to sell the club
the fan base is key.
