Sarcastic SOB ....... But what else could I expect from your ilk ?

FWIW ...... It now takes me 15 minutes to walk 100 meters - I hope that helps. Obviously easier with a wheelchair - But I'd be reliant on a carer for that to catch a train - Thank God my grandson supports City ;)

Why is it sarcastic? I'm being realistic, the stations at football grounds don't get too much closer than Forster square and VP.

You said if it was closer you'd use the train to attend games, I'm suggesting that if you don't use it now then you've no intention of travelling by train, especially given what you've just informed me about your mobility.

Take it as you want Ronnie, no offence was intended though.

    Thank you.

However - My post was in relation to a Central Bradford location for BCAFC.
As things stand, I currently live in Rotherham, and even when I get up to Shipley, footie days are an effort.

I think they have helped the Bull's in the past, and questions are still being asked about the council making I believe £200,000 loan to Omar Khan, possibly endorsed by Mr Gerry Sutcliffe.

The truth is Bradford's a shithole...no point in moving us to another shithole area with even less capacity.

Move us to Ilkley and build a stadium just like the Stadium of Light but maybe half as big. Thanks Bradford Council :kissing_heart:

    When does this Superdome open?

Great to see the Council trying to make Bradford an international sporting destination!

Whether you think it is ‘cloud cuckoo land’ or not, is not the issue. It is Government Policy. If the council wants to grant approval, it will have to satisfy planning rules.

Attitudes are changing, slowly but surely. You can be a denier, but you have to accept that the world does change slowly but surely, either with or without you.

would probably kill north parade for a start. The rent if im not mistaken is on a sliding scale and decreases as we go up the leagues although im open to being corrected on that, so if we achieve on the pitch that problem will eventually solve itself. And the money it would cost for such a venture could easily be spent bringing VP up to standard. on a sentimental level, it just wouldn't feel the same to me watching city at Odsal and not VP although as an exile down south now my opinion on that front isn't worth much.

would upset a few away fans too. I’ve quite a few mates of other teams who really enjoy a trip to Bradford for drinks in Sparrow and Record Cafe and then a good curry.

Don't worry guys it ain't gonna happen, unfortunately it took a disaster to get us a new ground and a visionary to make it even better.

So what are the council doing with Richard Dunn Sports Centre, now closed?
Are they going to demolish it, could have built a smaller Odsal for both the bulls and bpa or are they going to leave it to rot, awaiting investors to do the work?

Housing development at odsal, which funds a smaller stadium next door or is that a real non-starter.

North parade is dead at the best of times, only match day when you see hardly any footfall.

    That's North Parade.

Look at all these clubs who have fancy, purpose built grounds/hubs. Totally devoid of any atmosphere. Proper football grounds are normally located in shithole, urban locations, and it's part and parcel of having a city with a football club. I'm very proud that Valley Parade is located where it is.

If we're going down the route of having a football ground relocated for "ease of parking/getting home", then I'm going to start campaigning for Vegan products at half time.

This has to be a joke?

We want the club to progress but we want them to remain the same?

I don’t think the Odsal build is anything other than a slow week column filler but where City need to be (and in my view it’s not VP) in 5/10/15 years really needs to be discussed without all the nonsense about ‘proper football grounds’.
