    Move move move.

Vp is dated, in shite hole area..

Next to no parking. Although 12000 seater is not big enough... We're massive.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of past financial support for the Bulls and the lack of it for City, the fact is that Bradford Council is skint. Ten years of government grant cuts have reduced it to around a third of its pre-austerity era budget. It is struggling to provide halfway decent child protection, older people's social care and many other services. In a city of 600,000 people the idea that it's going to blow huge capital sums to please the 25k who might pay to watch City and the egg chasers is pie in the sky.

Judging by the amount of court cases recently it looks child protection has been non existent for the last twenty years.

Just a query guys, my memory of watching Northern in the 60's was trying to work out which team had the ball since almost all the players were coated in MUD. The whole pitch was a muddy tip. Have things improved since those days? Not quite so bad at Valley Parade.

Trying to work out your grammar - are you saying my post is a joke, or the article about moving from VP is a joke? Full stops and commas really help the reader.

Ask an Arsenal fan if they prefer The Emirates or Highbury. Ask any fan who has to go to watch their chosen team in a shared ground. It's kind of ridiculous that we're even looking down on a potential ground swap because it only has an 18k capacity. Right now we're playing in the bottom tier of the English football league. The ground we are currently at is not dragging us down. We don't need to move just yet. How many times did we sell out VP when we were in the Prem? Maybe we don't need to move at all. I don't think more car spaces and a free "park and ride" scheme are suddenly going to make us a more attractive football club. VP is more than adequate for years to come, be that in the Leagues or in the Championship.

Skint so let's put speed cameras up everywhere to try generate money.

Bradford Council are a joke! They had chances to improve Bradford but sat on their lazy behind.

Problem with the world is everyone thinks about themselves and under Boris is going to get worse.

Not for the want of trying by Ann Cryer, 15/20 years ago she was criticised for saying this sort of thing "being amongst the first people to talk about the issue of gangs of Asian men sexually abusing children in Yorkshire.

We've been down this road so many times on here and on C&B and my opinions have swayed back and forth. We're at a precipice now though with the Bulls facing extinction and us continually treading water. There's no vision, we're just managing and getting by.

With 8 years to go on our lease and the Bulls in this state, the time is now to get planning for a proper sporting Bradford future and the council can be involved albeit not with financial support at this moment.

Imagine a purpose built 20000 seater somewhere near town. In the past I've suggested the horrible concrete paradise surrounding the old Morrisons as a potential. There's nothing there that can't be moved or bulldozed. On the edge of town near bus and train routes. Almost on top of Valley Parade really. 3G pitches for the teams to train on, hired out in the evenings making money. A gym for the players to train in also open to the public making money. Chain restaurants and bars on the site. Needs planning and private investment and it's possible. Posh are doing it with their ambitious chairman.

Something like that requires a board with some sort of vision for the club both on and off the pitch. We don't have one sadly.

Agree with the vision, although I think it needs a commercial angle rather than just bars/restaurants. Just help me with which Morrisons site you are referring to? I know l don’t live in Bradford, but I know the area and honestly cannot think of one. Do you mean Tesco’s just off Canal Road?

The first season in the PL our capacity was just over 18000 and we failed to sell out ther majority of those games.

That isn't a reason to move to Odsal, I'm just providing evidence that if we suddenly introduced normal ticket prices then that sort of capacity may be big enough.

Quite right Rod, sorry Broncs just got up and missed your question. The Lease expires end of July 2028 from memory but as I've said before the Landlord/Tenant legislation means the Club have to be offered a new Lease on the same terms as the old except for the rent. This process normally takes place in the last 6 months of the old Lease but can be before by agreement.

I know its not the right thread but yet another example to show 'decent child protection' was never on the agenda, i have it on very good authority that this what seems a never ending list of court cases in reality is just the tip of the iceberg. Cast iron proof that the safety and welfare of vulnerable children is the lowest score on the top trump card when pitting itself against political agendas and pointscoring. Progressive Britain eh?

From a selfish point of view if they ever did build a new stadium please can they do it as far away from Bradford City centre as possible so i don't have to visit the shithole.
