Why do people continually blame Rupp??? Is he an owner we would choose due to his apparent lack of interest? Probably not. However do we have the lowest budget in the league? No. Does he pick the underperforming players? No. Does he have god awful tactics and even worse man management skills? No. Does he have a refusal to look in the mirror and accept that he is mainly at fault for all of the above? No. The main issue at the moment is the not fit for purpose manager we have landed ourselves with. Would you want to play for the dreary, dull, boring excuse for a manager we have I certainly wouldn’t. Money isn’t the be all and end all to get out of this god awful division it’s about creating a side that want to play for you and are willing to go the extra mile. Why would anyone want to go the extra mile for Adams he will probably dig you out the next week even if you do. #Adamsout

The first half today showed what these players are capable of. Bass commanded his box well. Canavan an Paudie didn’t give Crawley a sniff. Foulds was excellent. Cooke put in a better performance as a deep lying midfielder than Watt has all season. Vernam was troubling their full back an put some good crosses in. Songo’o kept the midfield ticking an broke up play. Walker an Daly were linking up well an Cook was getting into good positions.

The main problem is Adams an his bullshit way of thinking by having the entire team drop back an invite pressure for an entire half. Adams isn’t Mourinho or Simeone. He needs to cut out this idea that we can somehow defend a one goal lead. If we had attacked, kept the pressure on an stayed on the front foot, we would of scored a second goal an the points would of been ours. No point blaming Canavan or FCD, its the shit tactics that cost us today

    Rupps not the problem?

    Really?

The owner of the football club should be providing the vision, the drive, the ambition and funding.

What is his vision? Who knows. Was this an ego-trip for him, probably, after lapping up the german tv crews attention.

His CEO screwed up, whilst his eyes were negligently shut. He appointed an interim ceo to clear up the mess and oversee austerity.

He stripped the club of the McBurnie money to cover his own negligence. Where would we be with that money invested?

His final CEO 'appointment', in the words of said rookie CEO with minimal relevant experience of life or football, was just left to the outgoing interim CEO. This CEO backed the incumbent manager, then sacked him. Set in place a recruitment structure, decided to entrust 2 rookies, then quickly de-trust them, completely switch strategy to an experienced winner and bin off the independent recruitment structure.

What's Rupp doing as the owner of this. Nodding along vacantly whilst Sparks tells him this quarters new killer strategy?

The club has been turned into a joke under his leadership. And not a fricking funny one.

We just have to bite the bullet and accept we aren't good enough this season and the lack of investment has kept it that way.

We weren't fixing our problems with a few loans.

    Rupp must leave before Adams.

Adams is the sole problem everyone new that if Orient scored first what would happen last night
Adam's sent them out with his 4231formation 6 defensive players against a team that had not scored in over 8 hours
Cook up front on his own been out fought by 2 centre halves
Then the 3 behind Cook are not even close if and when he does win the ball
We go 1-0 behind and only then does Adams put someone up alongside cook but he sacrifices one of his so called attacking midfield players and only then do we look like we may score
His starting formation of 4231 will not get us out of this division it's boring the spectators & the players we have are not comfortable playing it
Adams change it to 442 or 433 and we may have a chance of the play offs
Play 4231 on Saturday at Harrogate & my money is on Harrogate winning by 2 clear goals
The problem lies in Adams change or leave
    your choice

I’ve been against the idea of another manager change. But I’m rapidly losing any such objection. This guy’s an idiot. Overseen by a novice and naive CEO who is mentored by the last car-crash CEO, and all led by a thoroughly disinterested owner.

I agree with elements of this, sure.

But who appointed the man that appointed Adams, and why?

When you've worked that out, you've worked out our main issue.

Rupp wants to run everything on a shoestring, from the CEO to the manager to the team.

That's why I blame Rupp and continue to do so.

Were Rupp super dedicated he might make up for his lack of funds. But he isn't dedicated and doesn't make up for it.

This. Sparks saw his CV and thought he'd cracked it. Unfortunately, it takes a lot more than a good CV to be successful at a club.

I said it at the time that Sparks was naive for appointing Adams for this very reason. So soon after Bowyer was hounded out for his dour style of play, its a massive gamble to hire a carbon copy.

It's an even bigger gamble when that manager is against your principles and philosophy as a CEO (youth development/recruitment director) and you compromise on that philosophy to give him what he wants.

He was never the fit for us.

Adams will walk into another League 1-2 job when he leaves here with his reputation pretty much intact. All he has to say in his next interview is that Bradford City is a basket case. Look at our history with managers over the last few years. Adams can sit tight with over 2 years left on his contract knowing it doesn’t really matter. Sparks and Rupp are culpable.

I've said it elsewhere but I believe that Rupp has a vision for the club.... it's just not one which most fans would support.

    It goes like this

    1. The club can continue to operate so long as it doesn't cost me any of my own money
    2. It that means ticking over in the khazi league, so be it
    3. If the club needs better players, better coaches etc, then the club's CEO will have to find the money from within the budget I've set
    4. If we get promoted, so be it but don't look to me to fund it. I will of course take any increase in the club's value when I sell it
    5. If there is any spare cash in the club in the mean time, I'll take it as a return on my original investment
    6. If somebody makes me an offer to buy the club, I'll only sell if it meets my asking price.
    7. And I'll appoint a CEO who will manage all of this for me 'cos I have little interest in football

That's how it is and there is plenty of evidence to support it. That strategy would be almost identical to any other business which is dependent on a single owner, who doesn't want to invest and who doesn't need the company to grow. That's Rupp's mindset.

As I said a short while ago, the strategy will continue and the club simply sustain itself until the owner is required for his own self interest to put his hands in his pockets. That will only happen when fans cut off one of the club's big revenue streams .. by not buying season tickets for next season. That will hurt Rupp hard .. more than banners or placards ever will.

Well sadly that’s me done for the season they and him have sucked the life out of me the last time I felt like this was the Blackpool game at home the season we went down to this league :(
I’ve been going down there 35 years I’ve seen the bad times the good times and sat through it all but that last night and that interview was enough for me

we still up to last night had a chance of the playoffs so why oh why did it take us after 70 minutes to start having a go ????

that was a poor Orient team shot on confidence but he made out it was Man City that we where up against .............

I mean last week he came out with “ Now we are hunters and teams in the playoffs don’t like being hunted down “ you think any of the playoff teams are worrying about a team that most of the time don’t even try to win games ????

if the club can’t afford to sack him fair enough but can they also afford to lose thousands of season ticket holders ?????

he’s everything that is wrong in a manager arrogant ......... no connection with the fans ......... tactically clueless ..........and now deluded

    Adams out had enough

He joined in Early September and had to work out who was good or bad whilst dipping into the loan market.
That is not a full season.
Adams was here in June, over saw nearly all the incomings, watched the team through all of pre season and had 8 friendlies to work out what was his best side.
Like comparing night and day ffs!!

Rupp has not picked the team
Rupp has not picked the style of play
Rupp has not chosen the players he wants on the field
Rupp does not come out after a game and slates the players to the press
Only one person does this and that is Adams
Sparkes was the dip stick who recruited Adams
These players are good enough to get us out of this division with the right style of play and encouragement from a decent manager or coach
Adams is not the person to take us forward
    Adams resign NOW

Reasonable point. But I can't forgive him for the mess Rahic and himself have put this club through.
Initially, a fragmented fanbase, relegation and each year, a lower league finish.

December 2018, Rahic went. 5 manager(s) and we seem further away from our goal. Rupp is still here, so are our continuing problems

Looking at how things went badly wrong for him at Ross County and Plymouth it seems that he just does not learn. He was sacked at Plymouth for sticking to 4-2-3-1 despite not having the players to play that way. He fell out with the fans and press at both clubs and was described as delusional, unflexible and stubborn.

Seems we were blinded by the fact that somehow he got those promotions on his CV yet none of the fans at any of the clubs were upset to see him go, including Morecambe, perhaps that tells us all we really need to know.
