If we haven't got the money to compete for the top league 2 players, then we have to find another way.

There are other ways. But I don't see a plan.

We've put all our eggs in the Adams basket and now we're in a sticky spot.

 

Adams is the sole problem everyone new that if Orient scored first what would happen last night
Adam's sent them out with his 4231formation 6 defensive players against a team that had not scored in over 8 hours
Cook up front on his own been out fought by 2 centre halves
Then the 3 behind Cook are not even close if and when he does win the ball
We go 1-0 behind and only then does Adams put someone up alongside cook but he sacrifices one of his so called attacking midfield players and only then do we look like we may score
His starting formation of 4231 will not get us out of this division it's boring the spectators & the players we have are not comfortable playing it
Adams change it to 442 or 433 and we may have a chance of the play offs
Play 4231 on Saturday at Harrogate & my money is on Harrogate winning by 2 clear goals
The problem lies in Adams change or leave

Unfortunately, the only way I see Rupp leaving is if he is forced to put money in.

That means voting with your feet in the summer. 8,000 season ticket holders next season would mean he would need to find in the region of £1.2m to maintain the current budget.

He might just cut his losses then.

 

Not sure Flynn is the answer but I do believe there would be a queue of managers prepared to take Bradford City on but we have to give him until the end of the current season IMO..

 

I think Ryan has made some poor decisions, there have been interviews which seem to be all about him and his statements about mediocrity and promotion? At the forum, how many times did you hear I wouldn’t be here if C happened? Well they all look a bit daft now don’t they? I do feel a bit for him though.

He’s inexperienced, despite all the bullshit about age being a number, he lacks experience and he’s in a very difficult position. On the one hand his boss is presumably telling him not to spend money, and then Adams presumably wants more money to spend and the fans, his customers who pay the bills, are screaming at him because the product the manager is serving up is awful. In the middle you have an inexperienced CEO, no matter how talented he may be, who I assume has staked a lot on Adams leading him to promotion and glory. And apart from the money I think that’s also why Ryan can’t sack Adams, it’s an admission he got it wrong on a manager’s contract for the third time in 14 months and it destroys his credibility. Add in who would work for a CEO who makes Deadly Doug Ellis look a paragon of patience? Ryan is stuck with Adams unless Deluded Del walks.

 

His investment would become worthless in the National League. I think he would have to put some money in to keep it ticking over. If he's got to put £500k-£1m a year in, to stand still, he may then think that he is better off selling up.

This gets said every year to be fair about the teams coming up and/or coming down. It never materialises. It's sh!t every season

 

Thanks, not seen that one before. Like groundhog day. Tells us all we need to know about the bloke, or rather confirms the conclusions many of us have come to already. I think we can all see how this is going to play out. The only question is when.

 

Can relate to most of that. He's perhaps the most unlikeable manager we've had. Even our awful performing managers had something about them, whether it be a bit of banter with the fans, an affiliation with the club, or showing some sort of modesty and/or holding their hands up when they've got it wrong and trying to make it better.

This man is just stubborn, arrogant and a cold person. Do we really want this tosser as our manager for years to come?

 

I think it'll be genuinely different next season. I would think Stockport and Wrexham have the biggest budgets in L2/National League.

They're buying good players from League 1.

 

Fair point but I suspect Wrexham might have a few £££ to spend and a manager that knows this division.

 

I wonder if Adams’ past is why Raynor goes easy on him?

 

Hard to have a queue when the people in charge don't even advertise positions or interview prospective appointees
