Adams Out (with poll)

If he was a nicer personality and you could feel he was working hard to make us better I'd give him more time, but he's such an obnoxious individual it's impossible to do that. He's burnt his bridges with the fans, that's for sure, and he'll never get back what he's lost. Having said that, the season's gone and I'd keep him till May just to save some money.

 

How will it save money though?

Fans will be more disinterested and will not go or renew their season ticket.

The issue will become more aimed towards Rupp and Sparks.

A message from Derek Adams to those fans who want him sacked.

 

Yes, I see that. The problems are manifold. When you've an owner and CEO who know nothing about football you've no chance. We appoint poor managers and sign countless mediocre players as a result. We now have all those and no way of redressing the situation. So whatever we do it's very hard to see a way out. One thing is certain though, Adams has to go before next season because, in various ways, he's completely alienated the lifeblood of any club, its fans.

 

Also the same message to Derek Adams from the fans!

 

Your hero Parkinson finished 18th in his first season. I’m sure Adams will finish above 18th

 

I am fed up of Adams telling us what he did at Plymouth and Morecambe. He should have realised that this City squad doesn't have players capable of repeating the plan of defending deeply and then counterattacking at pace.

 

He’s still responsible for bringing in players that haven’t performed for him (and therefore our Club).

 

It's a vicious circle. An owner that knew about football would never have appointed Sparks as CEO. A CEO who knew about football would never work under Rupp. And any decent manager would never work under either, cf Parkinson. Whichever way you look at it we're in a bind and before anything will improve a domino has to fall. It could be the manager, but then Sparks would mess up the next appointment. It could be Sparks but then Rupp would mess that up. So......

 

Sick of him still alluding to problems behind the scenes.

Either say what they are or simply shut up about them.

It's looking more like an excuse with every passing game.

 

The team in 18th, Rochdale, are 7 points behind with three games in hand. Every club between us and Rochdale apart from Stevenage have between one and three games in hand. Carry on as we have played this last few weeks and I wouldn’t put good money on better than 18th.

Yup that was interesting, just as Raynor was bungling along to preserve his relationship with Adams Morais came straight in with the real home truths

 

I would keep him. We’ve gone through so many managers, some who have a “track record” of getting promotions, some are club legends, some are young and inexperienced. None have worked and we end up having a clear out every 12-18 months and the cycle starts again.

We’re poor, no question, and we’ve underachieved vs expectations but we need to break the cycle and show some patience. Plenty of examples where patience is rewarded.

 

I can see the sense in all of that Alex, just wish it wasn't Adams you are talking about!
He has failed on so many counts in my eyes that I honestly feel the club would be better off without him

 

Good post. Ultimately we need that change at the top……but for as long as the club funds itself there’s no rush for him to sell up.

Boycotts seem the only option. Hurt the club financially, make Rupp uncomfortable and force him into action.
