His results and the teams performances should be enough to get him the sack

Adams will walk into another League 1-2 job when he leaves here with his reputation pretty much intact. All he has to say in his next interview is that Bradford City is a basket case. Look at our history with managers over the last few years. Adams can sit tight with over 2 years left on his contract knowing it doesn’t really matter. Sparks and Rupp are culpable.

 

If he’s not got the backing promised it wouldn’t be gross misconduct to say it though would it? Prem managers do it quite often-I think it’s a smokescreen for his own failings

 

Hopefully he walks into another soon then

 

He's put in place his own recruitment team
He's added a Performance Manager to his coaching staff
He chose his Assistant Manager
He's got a top 7 budget

What support hasn't he got?

 

Perhaps he needs someone else to do the managing bit for him too, it looks that way…..

 

1) He had to come in and sack the club scout, which he shouldn't need to do - in fact, he shouldn't be ALLOWED to do that, that's the club's call, not his. What was Sparks doing??
2) It was the guy off the radio, which suggests that ONCE AGAIN, no recruitment process was undertaken.
3) It was the guy at the club who Sparks had made up a position for, so given he was already on the wage bill, that decision was made for him.
4) Doubt it.

 

I'll give him this, he is stubborn, self proud and somewhat obnoxious beyond belief - even for Scotsman!

He has no humility and whilst he can dish out criticism, he has a problem accepting any aimed at himself

 

When Adams goes let’s hope we go steady with the new contract to his replacement. See how things work out before jumping into bed for three years. That might not enable us to bring in another senior boss like Adams but I wouldn’t go that way myself. Young and modern is the way to go next.

This made my morning ahahaha. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I listened to Adam's interview. Very poor interview overall.

He has a serious problem now, he's alienating the fans further getting on the defensive and being so stubborn.

Bottom line is, goals are not being scored and we lost 2 nil the other day, we lost, he needs to accept that his signings have been poor and the buck here stops with him since he's had control over his signings.

He needs to stop clashing with the fans, he needs to man up and take the criticism as constructive feedback. I'm sure it's touching a nerve hearing people boo, but he needs to take that on the chin and not personalise it and he needs to stop jumping on the defensive with how much previous success he has had in this division.

A week ago I didn't think it was gonna do us any good getting rid of him this season, but I've had time to ponder and think on this. We still have Mark Trueman at the club. I don't believe Adams will get us a decent run of results with consistency, but that's up to Adams to prove us as fans wrong. We can't sack him ourselves, if we could, he'd be gone as I believe the majority do now want him out.

If he does go and I'm at a point where I believe he should, then we can just let Trueman take the reigns for the rest of the season and see how he gets on as caretaker manager.

Adams telling us not to change manager all the time, bottom line is, I agree with him on that, but he as a manager shouldn't be using that statement as a defensive tactic against the fanbase. He isn't taking on board any feedback, he's just getting stubborn and defensive in defeat and clashing with the fanbase. Managers like that shouldn't be given more time. I don't believe in sacking manager after manager, but I want a manager who is more professional and willing to take criticism when it's given as constructive feedback.

Sparks won't sack Adams yet, so Adams needs to fix this mess, but right now, I have zero faith in him and he needs to go. Adams, prove me wrong, please. I want us to win football matches ahahaha....

I'm still firmly 100% saying that Rupp needs to go, be nice to have an owner who is actually passionate about the club and doesn't just see us as a cash cow for an investment, you gotta have some sort of passion to own a club with so much culture in my opinion, otherwise you just end up with owners like the Glazers who don't respect the culture and history of your club. (No offense meant to any Man United fans)

I think back to a week or so before the end of the summer transfer window. I said it then but there was a definite shift from Adams being upbeat and optimistic of bringing in 1,possibly 2 very good players, to a few day's later of him sounding pretty p!ssed off and saying there was no money to bring said players in. Then we ended up with 'he's no Lee Angol' on deadline day.
This is not to absolve him of any responsibility because he certainly isn't blameless in terms of what has happened since then, but I remain convinced he was misled about certain things when taking the job. That's why I have little confidence anything much would change if Adams was replaced - the problems run far deeper than that and unless the root cause is addressed, the manager merry go round will just continue ad nauseum and the club will remain stuck in league 2 forever.

 

Ah this old chestnut again.

God forbid the fans want more than to be bumbling around in the bottom half of league two. How dare we want a manager who isn't up his own arse, or an adequately qualified CEO, or an owner who actually gave a toss.

But yeh, it's the fans' fault. The same fans who are there come rain or shine and ensure we actually have a football club.
