Whilst I agree with your sentiments, your post contains an error.

It wasn’t O’Connor that gave away the penalty- that was Caddis.

And what difference does it make whether the player came into Hopkin’s radar today or last month? Both of today’s signings are good footballers. I have a doubt about Clarke in that I can’t see where he will play, with us already having Ball and Payne, but there’s no doubt they are decent players

 

I’m 25 miles from Wycombe. Been quite a bit of snow around me but not enough to block main roads etc. That said forecast isn’t getting higher than 4 degrees and more light snow forecast over night. If they have covers on, I’d be shocked if it’s postponed but certainly a chance.

Strongly suggest to check in before any one starts travelling down from the North.

 

Our guys training now then setting off. No concerns as pitch has under soil heating hence no covers on earlier photo. Only concern will be outside and mild temps plus clearing any snow in the morning shoul see all ok

I remember a few seasons ago when the club put free travel on for the Wycombe game, we got over halfway there and had to turn around due it being called off.

 

Weather’s fine down here in Wycombe, no more snow, just icy on pavements and side roads. Think they only signed one on Thursday - young lad from QPR - but let Mckail-Smith and Sam Saunders go. Paper talk here is always Akinfenwa, still a big lump who ambles rather than moves but he’s had his best scoring seasons in his career recently. Quite a wide pitch, which might expose our lack of width going forward and our full-backs will have to be careful. Wycombe aren’t great but work hard for each other - mates down here are expecting a tight game and predicting a draw, think they’re been kind!

Do you really think Riley would be an adequate replacement for NKP or O'Connor if one of them gets injured or sent off?

Our soft defence worries me. I could see our good performance going to waste by us gifting a soft goal away.

He need’s help, definitely - however, we shouldn’t be debating handball or not as he should have put that away, along with the header just before half-time. He seemed busy and much more effective than Miller when he came on, both of them need to play in a 2; maybe not together, but they need strike partners.
