The point is it's become clear that the club never had any intention of going for promotion this year, even before a ball was kicked. We've been misled about this and other things such as the Vaughan situation, the offers for Guthrie and the scouting of Samuels. None of this, of course, before we were all encouraged to renew season tickets. This is just basic dishonesty from the club, and most of the people responsible are still there. It's very hard to trust anything that comes out of VP at the moment and once trust is lost it takes an awful lot to get it back.

Yes. I nearly gave up on them once before, McCalls third season. Hated every minute of it and felt like the end of the road for us so started playing on a Saturday instead and almost completely forgot about City.

Taylor coming in got my interest back given his record of promotions but when that crashed and burned and Jacko came in I'd had enough. The club could have folded and I would barely have cared.

Didn't get a season ticket for the following year for the first time since uni but weirdly ended up going to quite a few games once PP came in and the interest came back. If Jacko had stayed I reckon that would have been the end for City and me.

I honestly thought you said you had given up on City yesterday and here you are back on it again.

I have tried to understand your diatribe but again it makes no sense.

I believe that QPR have stopped this 'knee' business Fordy? Even Les Ferdinand has said that it's time it was stopped as it's now lost it's impact. So on the basis of this it's surely up to the club?

Im the same as lots on here.Ranging from getting tickets for Patsy’s tours from the pub just on from Greenwood’s menswear in Bradford centre. (Can’t remember the name)not knowing if the bus would survive the whole day.Days off work to go to Arsenal etc midweek in the prem.Turning down well paid overtime to go to distant Saturday away games.Done a few away games last few years but not the same.Definitely become a bit of a chore in last few years.Cant see me not getting a season ticket for the foreseeable.Times and personal circumstances change.Your team doesn’t.

I’ll never give up on them. For all the Salford’s losing 0-3 and not even trying, There is Villa away and Chelsea away just around the corner. Those times will come back.

Look, you are gone! You don't care about the club but you follow it. If you cared you wouldn't back the silly decisions the club makes and you would have a view.

You're a dancer!! Dancing with the other mug followers. We make a crazy decision and you find it acceptable. It's a joke!

And what bit of I will be on Bantam Talk don't you get??

Well the bit called City Talk-specific to the club you disowned yesterday. Why are you still posting about a team you have decided you do not want to support anymore? Give your head a huge shake.

The rest of your post is complete bollocks-standard for you.

Never. You cannot divorce your football club.

As my dad used to say when I was a kid, you’ll love more than one woman in your lifetime but you’ll only ever love one football club. Never a truer word spoken.

I lived within 6 miles of Valley Parade for the first 25 years of my life. Went to my first game as a 5 year old. For the past 16 years I’ve lived 110 miles further north in Newcastle. Yet Valley Parade on match day will always be the place that I’d choose to be as much as I can.

I am married and have 4 kids. Have some lovely memories. But still some of the greatest days / nights of my life have been whilst following City. Blackpool away 96 play off and Wolves 99 are 2 such examples. Seeing us win 4-3 at Brentford in 1992 whilst we were sat in the home end another example. Pompey away 4-2 and Swindon 4-1 away on the promotion season 98-99. You cannot buy days out like that.

My youngest daughter being mascot a few years ago. Something she still talks fondly of. My little lad going to football training in his city kit whilst every other kid is wearing black and white. Playing myself at V.P in a schools cup final in the early 90’s. You don’t lose memories like that. All because of BCFC.

Unthinkable for them not to be in my life.

Some really good players, including dangerous subs.

Oh to bring on a Kayne Woolery.

They have several players who performed well last season - who have we got that did well last year?

    NOBODY.

    We are transfer market victims.

True and it is hard to argue with your comments - I was solely referring to Sparks interview yesterday and how he came across and his comments at this point in time. If we look back at all the promises we as fans have been made over the past 3 to 4 years it is going to be a depressing (and long) story

Listen to his comments again. He said he never thought we would challenge this season!

So for me him and McCall just talked BS in that fans forum in the summer.

In the 62 years I have followed this team there have been many low moments. It’s those that make the few good times that much more special. The digital age now makes the bad times seem worse. But only old age will stop me making the fortnightly pilgrimage to VP when I am allowed
