You can be nice to people without ostracising others with different views like teachers who refuse to bend with modern trends .And without any love for people like Farage it’s an outrage he has had his banking taken away. Just as it is an injustice to JK Rowling by trying to cancel her.
I believe in the rights of people whatever their views.

His bank account was closed as it didn't have enough money in it to meet the threshold, why it is an outrage that the bank applied their rules which he agreed to and offered him an alternative but he turned it down so that he could push another lie? JK Rowling is facing the consequences of being transphobic. If you believe a child wanted to be a cat then you'll believe anything and you are the perfect target for the culture war that the likes of Farage are making up so they can spread their hate

Jk Rowling is being cancelled for standing up for women and that’s not a crime.

She didn't stand up for women she made a transphobic comments. Predators who want to go into women's bathrooms will do it with our without transgender people being allowed into toilets that are different to their birth assigned gender.

It'll be before you're time, but back in the day WMC were the place to go for cheap ale and a good night entertainment, there was a female impersonator called Terry Durham, he was a dead ringer for a female if you weren't aware of his act, it was a bit off putting when you went into your toilet cubicle to have a pee and this female came and stood next to you whilst he relieved himself **so funny**so funny**so funny.

To use the language of the day, LOL. Looking at some of the posts after yours, I'd say this thread is beginning to need some light-heartedness. The thought of Mum having a fling boggles the mind though. Then again, she and her best friend and nursing colleague/my godmother did once go to a rock festival where the youth of the day treated those two 30-somethings with great respect and politeness! Maybe they even passed a joint around... Now the mind truly boggles!

Did you ever listen to the 'My Word' programmes? I think it was Frank Muir who had to explain the saying 'the better part of valour is discretion'. Three spoilt rich girls went on holiday in Greece, and two of them met suitable blokes and lived happily ever after. The third, Di, met a handsome smooth-talking Greek who spun her a tale -- heir unfairly separated from his inheritance etc. -- and promised to come get her once he got things sorted. Some time later the three friends met in London, passed by a Greek restaurant, and thought of going in. But having looked in the door Di's friends quickly suggested they go elsewhere. You see, they had seen staff setting tables and one bloke putting butter pats on plates. They couldn't tell Di, of course, but both of them knew that 'the butter patter feller's Di's Grecian'.

As for the subject of this thread, no surprise really that one size does not fit all when it comes to clothing/footwear/athletic gear. I suppose there may not have been enough of a market in past days, but there certainly seems to be enough of one now to make it worth the manufacturers' while to have separate lines for men and women. The women in the Ukrainian army have been having the same troubles trying to fit into and use gear -- e.g. body armour -- designed for men.

I’m all for caring for others in Fact it’s vital. However not in a way that impacts on others no matter what their views are

Trying to take the moral high ground and "caring" for people who would tread all over you at the first time of asking to get their way just makes you a bit of a fool.

    She didn't though did she?

She, like many, many other women just want safe spaces for women and girls and at the moment they don't feel like they have one.

That surely can't be right whichever side of the fence you want to fall on?

Nobody is taking away any safe spaces or making any safe spaces less safe.

Ah, so you're completely dismissing their point? As easy at that eh?

And not a hint of irony or a particular "ism", "phobic" or any other intended slur thrown your way.

I suppose "cisphobic" would never catch on anyway given that there aren't enough who actively seek out offence to even form the group.

Public toilets, changing rooms and any female only areas are now inherently more dangerous and easier to access for perverts, paedophiles, predators and deviants if only due to the common persons worry of being labelled am "isn't" or a "phobic" and subsequent refusal to challenge anything that may offend.

I'm clearly p1ssing in the wind trying to convince you but I do believe the vast majority of people in Britain would at least agree with parts of the above.

How are they more dangerous than they were 10 years ago? If a predator wanted to go in a female toilets there are nothing that is allowing them to do it anymore than what there was 10 years ago. The same arguments for this are what were used against gay people 30/40 years ago and a lot of people agreed with them but it doesn't mean they are right.

Sorry but that's just nonsense. You've read that somewhere and just decided you'd regurgitate it as truth.

Let me ask you this. Were you born a woman and have lived your life as a woman?

If not, how do you know that women don't feel unsafe in some public spaces now and why is your dismissive attitude and the transphobic rhetoric any more legitimate than the next persons genuine concerns?

Surely you agree, being a caring, considerate human that if women genuinely feel unsafe, then that has to be taken seriously rather than pander to a minority for fear of offence?

It's not nonsense, gay people were treated as disease spreaders and unnatural, same with black people before that.
Why do you avoid every question? Explain how safe spaces are being taken away and how that is any different to 10 years ago. Transgender people are being victimised because of the actions of a group of people that have nothing to do with them.

You want me to explain how men, women and children all sharing common spaces where there's generally undressing and nudity might not feel safe for some?

Do you work for the BBC?

Over here in Estonia, it’s common place that women clean the male gym changing rooms during opening hours. First time I encountered it when I first moved here, I was like what the hell, when I’ve just come out of the showers starkers, and an older lady was mopping up around the lockers. No one batted an eye. I’m used to it now (as much as a Brit can be used to public nudity), but can’t help thinking how it would be received in the UK. I asked some Estonians about it, and they said it’s cos the gym can’t find men to do the job.
