I know of 2 people (i.e. know them well) who've been furloughed. Both itching to get back to work.

 

That's good. So they should. Might not happen unfortunately.

The government paying a lot of people's wages. It's not sustainable.

Even if the Furlough is extended today(think it will be for so industries) it will be reduced to say 60% and you will start seeing more redundancies.

Businesses need cash in and at this moment the government are wiping a lot of people's arse. Furlough isn't a long term solution. It's just a road to unemployment for many.

 

Why you think its wiping people's arses is beyond belief.

 

Just think it should've been available to all and hopefully it's reduced today. It can't go on forever! Some companies have really taken the mick out of it.

Companies need to start going back to work and defending for themselves now. No vaccine! Crack on.

To want the payments to be reduced as some sort of incentive to get back to work is ridiculous. The vast majority will still be unable to work until the government allows everyone back to work.

Dropping the furlough payments will cause significant financial hardship for millions and you want that? You are shook in the head.

 

Well it's getting reduced! Businesses will have to find that 20% or so extra.

Furlough payments have to be drop sooner rather than later. What do you want Furlough until a vaccine might be found?

So, find solutions, spend out of trouble, figure a way but redundancies will be happening on mass and businesses will be closing unfortunately!

 

I don't know why you are so bothered about this anyway. Unless your imaginary business will be in trouble if your imaginary staff don't get back to work sooner rather than later.

No concerned about me but I am for you and many others that are dependent on Furlough. Need to start waking up that money needs to be generated and it won't be looking at Ryan Sparks on Zoom.

Non existent businesses have never been affected...!!

Remember it's 50/50 from August and will end in October.

Redundancies will still happen on mass. For me some will get dependant on it.

It's just a life support but yeah good for the short time. Businesses will still go under unless they start generating money now.
