Hopefully the PMs questions tomorrow bring some clarity to the point around 'get back to work if you can't work from home'. Many industries are then referred to as not being reopened until june or july at the earliest. Manufacturing and construction were mentioned but I think hes going to have to be more specific about which industries are in the scope of step 1 of the plan.

I saw someone comment that but I've read the document and all I saw was that sorting grounds among other venues may not be able to open until substantially later and when the risk of infection has lowered significantly. No mention of a vaccine in relation to venues unless I missed it.

 

Now needs the agreement of neutral grounds for the premier league. Apparently they have been locked in talks for 4 hours today and no progress

 

venues such as sports stadia “may only be fully possible significantly later depending on the reduction in numbers of infections”

They're asking the government to reconsider the neutral grounds on Thursday wihich is fine then voting either way next week. I don't think the neutral ground is a problem now. The bottom 6 have been told today 3 teams will go down

So, if football doesnt return it's the current bottom 3 or PPG.
League 1 & 2 still has a possibility or restarting says the Rotherham chairman.

 

Am I missing something, where’s the vaccine part?

 

Yes exactly, but no mention of a vaccine.

 

They'll be looking at the Bundesliga using their own stadiums and asking why we have to be any different. And you can't blame them really.

 

This government doesn't spell things out.

Before it they talk about stages and that's the lad that one so many say it means until a vaccine is found.

 

Where has that come from?

The last news report I saw had him saying he doesn't see them starting.

 

This is what he said about the return:

“I would be amazed. They are talking about mid-June, we are talking about just weeks that we have got to prepare for it. I don't think there is the time to get organised and together.But if instruction comes,we have to do what we have to do"

- so from that talks are still in place about it returning in June. Rotherham sit second but Iran close at the top, so of course he wants it to end now but seems talks are still on going.

 

Be amazed if they did start or if they didn't?

Suppose until a decision is actually made there is always a chance but that seems like it's very heavily weighted towards it not continuing.
