What does relegation mean to you ....

I think for me, relegation cannot be deemed anything other than gutting. I dreamt about it last
night. The semis against Burton. The playoff final vs Northampton. What a day. Such a convincing win. Going for drinks with my mates after around Wembley. What a cracking night with the hope that we'd be heading up the leagues towards the championship in the years to come. What a fantastic day. Further progress and then Millwall away prior to the takeover. A team simply one or two short from promotion. A failure yes but the hope that the new owners would propel us to the next level the following season. Be careful what you wish for. New owners with a load of cash that would bankroll our promotion leads to this. Who knew that this would lead to such cataclysmic failure and a team created with a top of the league budget would finish bottom by some margin. I'm for one are gutted. Sad really at what could have been. A squad that required marginal tweaking, to be made better, decimated by some complete areshole for the reason of I know better than anyone else. Alas we are now relegated once again. A new beginning. This time the league will be more competitive. I hope that the 13k fans renewing, will produce a similar budget from last year which was as high as it's been for a fair few years, and we have the funds to assemble a better squad than the 12/13 squad and make an even better fist of it under Boywer to get us up automatically. Of course this hinges on a lot of the shite we have contracted being jettisoned/ moved on or manufactured moves away. But I sincerely hope we make a real attempt at getting out of this league at the first attempt. Anything less than a bloody good go will be one monumental failure

 

Dulls? Don't talk shite man. I have far more memories of watching the Bulls than i do City even though i've followed City for longer and been to more City games. Rugby league is a fantastic game.

 

One thing we can't have is an attitude that we should be pissing that division instantly or we're a massive failure. As much as we should be, we have no divine right to piss anything until we earn it as we found out on our last L2 adventure. Anyone calling for bowyers head after 6 games is a lunatic, you can't develop an upward trajectory from a standing start (or going backwards as we are), you have to build momentum and a culture of success which if im not mistaken didn't exactly take parky 6 games either.

 

always had proper nice childhood memories of me dad taking me to bulls games back when they were more in their pomp than now, when they used to put loads of stuff on for families etc before the game, good times!

I wasn't making a comparison but pointing out that however shit our situation seems (and I'll agree it is shit). We should put things in perspective.

Sorry if this upsets anyone but if to get "perspective" on our current plight it has to be set against a great human tragedy for it to be made " somehow palitable" ? then I am giving up ?. No way can the current shambolic state of this football club be brought into the same conversation as the loss of 56 lives on that most tragic of days in the clubs history. ?. I would however say that the clubs custodians disrespect those poor lost soles by the manner in which they have operated for the past two years.

 

Your last paragraph completely contradict what you’ve typed in the first.

 

Hows that ? if your say my last point to say the current custodian have let down those poor lost soles then yes they have. They are the very reason why those putting themselves forward as "fit and proper" to carry the "baton" forward have a duty to do so with care and respect for what has gone before. Can you say Rupp and Rahic have fulfilled their duty to honor this. No !
