I'd say the opposite. Perspective is needed, and how are we going to get that but by looking over our history and experiences, both individual and collective? Compared to personal tragedies in our own lives, compared to the collective tragedy we all share -- this relegation means very little at all. It is just the result of a group of men failing in their job of kicking a ball around a field, and shouldn't be treated as something more important.

To my mind, that is all that the post that started this hoo-haw was trying to say.

It's disappointing, it's anger-inducing, it means a lot of hard work has been lost and a lot more hard work will be needed, it means we have to endure the fourth tier yet again...but it is what it is. We've done it all before, and no doubt we'll do it all again. Come the summer I'll be looking forward to the new season. I just hope that when I'm back over any away matches will be in places I want to visit...

I had spent all season dreading going back down to League 2.

However, after losing 4-1 to Blackpool, I just accepted we were going down and I haven’t let it bother me since.

I’m slightly optimistic for next season because we have sold a healthy amount of season tickets and because we will start next season without Rahic involved.

What makes you think that fans who bought season tickets for next season don’t feel exactly the same? Your implication that ‘only true fans would understand that’ is quite frankly insulting but then that is par for the course and why I posted. City fans are not automatons we are all made up different and emotionally respond differently. Your post comes across as ‘I am a true fan and this is what I have done, you are not a true fan because you have not done the same’

100% agree with this. Said something similar elsewhere and was told I wasn’t a proper fan. That’s sport at the end of the day, you win some, you lose some. Unless you have an oil rich sugar daddy backing you then your chances of winning significantly increase.

In my view the one's buying season tickets are still showing their support to the exact people who have destroyed everything that Bradford City was about. ( nothing to do with what happens on the pitch). Yes you are right, people do react differently, I just can't get my head around why people would still back them. Just remember we were bought as a toy by people who have no love or feelings for Bradford City. So why true fans don't see that is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, if you just like going to watch football then its not aimed at those fans, it's aimed at those who reckon they care for the Club.

We're each entitled to our own views ....... and so right that is.
For me - I support BCAFC, not players or Management per se.
Emotions are riding high, and that, to a degree is to be expected. However, as we age, our emotional 'triggers' change, and so relegation for me now is less painful than the last time.
But for all that - I still feel some have over reacted, perhaps fed by a glass or two ? ;)

You are going to have to be specific who you are referring to here. Rahic has been booted out but I fully accept his dabbling with our club has ruined the club and it will take time to rebuild. Rupp we believe is going to stay to be part of the rebuilding. We are always at the mercy of owners, so you either accept that or not. I, like you don’t like it, but football has had the soul ripped out of it by the ruthless pursuit of money over ethics.

A season of consolidation hopefully not less than a mid table finish is what I am expecting you can not expect much else after our club has been taken to the edge of oblivion
As GB has said this club needs to completely start again (Quite an achievement to wreck our club to the extent it has been) it took us a good few years to get out of this league before and that was from a "standing start" we are starting at least 10 steps backwards this time
Off field personnel will play every bit as big a part as the players next season and that is an area we are weak in too

Well that makes you one of two people then, either @Frank Castle@Frank Castle or Clayton, because you certainly aren't the person who people seem to have some weird obsession over it being :)

Hard to express how Im feeling about relegation as Im a bit numb.
Maybe it'll hit me when the fixtures are released.

I called this club would go backwards when Mr Rahic came to the club.
It's hard to offer such opinion when your heart wants your head to be wrong.

I fear another season of struggle to endure, too many losers still under contract. To shift them, a big slice of budget will be required, this is too tough a job to sort quickly.

IF we can survive next year then we'll see the green shoots of revival 20/21.

So, onto today, I'll try my best to let those losers on the pitch know I dont want them here next season. That isn't a case of not backing the team, it's a case of me doing my bit to try give us a greater chance of survival next season.

If we recruit and back bowyer properly I can see playoffs then automatics the season after (Both L2 he isnt Guardibowyer). The more players of the current squad we keep the less likely that is to happen though. Please please sack whoever he says sack as if we want to get the old mentality and feeling back it starts with the right characters on the playing staff. No more gambles on crocks, no more big billy bollocks from prem academies, just good honest pros with a desire to be better and learn. Who aren't midgets (sorry Fordy)

The whole question is around what is meant by those who say that Rupp will back the manager financially (or words to that effect). I understand that he is prepared to sell the club, the only problem being the figure he is talking about bears no resemblance to the figure interested parties would be prepared to pay. If these discussions are ongoing then what backing will he prepared to undertake?

    That's a massive massive question
I have a feeling Mr Rupp is trying to hold out for at least his initial outlay back I don't blame him for that but I think as he openly admits he has very little interest in football he is being naive
By the time he has finished investing/propping up the club maybe this time next year his investment will be the same as it is to buy an average Championship club so who would be interested at that price
I too would be very interested exactly what is meant by "backing the manager" does he mean to get rid of the expensive dead wood and that's it or is he prepared to do that and trust even more cash for GB to build his own squad hoping he gets it right first time
Either way our club is a money pit and needs serious serious investment just to get out of L2

I hope this poster DID get his ban. We are always told to respect people’s views but this is nothing more than an attack. What the hell happened to ‘attack the post, not attack the poster’?? This is a disgrace and why am I not surprised to see @Dennis@Dennis agreeing, rather than giving the poster the warning he deserved?!?!

And the Mods claim they treat everyone equally. What a joke...!

@king karl@king karl, I hope you gave @Down’n’out@Down’n’out the warning/ban he deserved and tackled your Mods on why they ‘liked’ instead of condemning the post. Disgusting...!

Why would @king karl@king karl ban Bronco? He wasn’t the one blatantly attacking another poster...! So much for showing respect to others.....!

But by staying away, you are helping to destroy the club. We all know who caused the problems and by not being as involved as he should have been, Rupp is part of that problem.

He won’t just toss the keys in the direction of Rhodes and walk away after paying off the debt. This simply won’t happen. So by staying away and starving the club of finances, you are wanting another administration? You’d rather see us completely broke and threatened with extinction, just to rid ourselves of an owner who has made mistakes but is trying to right his wrongs?

Yeah, good meme, but what has it got to do with anything? I think you need to stop trying to be a smart arse as you’ve clearly failed and in doing so, made a tit of yourself. I wasn’t the one being attacked and I’m not the one that was ‘being mean’ towards.

But why am I not surprised by your response...!
I’m more surprised that a Mod known for zero tolerance ‘liked’ the post instead of warning the poster for the attack. Just goes to show that you CAN abuse other posters on here, so long as the Mods don’t like the person being attacked...!
