Firstly, there are plenty on here that have not been banned that were criticising the post. Not all ‘bad apples’.

As for ‘you get a warning on here....’, when was this? This whole debate was about the language used by a supposedly ‘quiet’ member, who claimed he was reading from afar, but was drawn on one comment by Bronco, to spleen his anger. Really? I hadn’t been warned and the comments weren’t aimed at me (this time), so I’m not sure where I am playing the ‘poor me’ card...?

Not sure who you were on the C&B, but I had a total of 3 bans. Two for name calling or using language that broke rules (similar to the post we are referring to now) and the 3rd time for daring to challenge a Mod and calling him a little hitler for warning me for using a phrase he deemed unacceptable. But as I’ve said, this isn’t about me... it was about the poster that abused Bronco and the fact that the Mod (who seems to have gone very quiet), “liking” the post instead of removing it and warning the poster.

 

But isn’t that the point Park was making?

 

Sleep if you want Fordy, but it’s still a valid point. As is the invite for you to get yourself down to VP and become one of the team that can make more of an impact than the rest of us on here.

 

No, not me. I did mention my ex-wife but not in any way abusive towards her. She was more likely to slap me than I of her. I’m more than “99% certain” that it wasn’t me..!

As for calling Bronco a racist, I didn’t say you had. I said members of the TCA come on here and throw lies about, such as the one calling Bronco a racist. Using a term that he believed to be acceptable isn’t being a racist. It’s not like he was throwing around the ‘N’ word (sounds like trigger) or the ‘P’ word (sounds like tacky). Now that would have been racist

 

Well it does depend what he said. If he used the term colour instead of Black then the lad needs an education and to keep up with the times as black people are not called coloured people.

 

He (unintentionally) used a racist term. Fair enough,no harm done, it can happen. Several posters politely explained to him that the term he was using is racist and that he should probably stop. He, for reasons only known to him, continued to use it despite knowing that it was extremely offensive to those he was using it towards.

So @king karl does a post to say stop bringing old arguments up from C&B and what do you do bring old stuff up. You do not change. And now you are also throwing in calling me Hitler.

If you want to bring it up then fair enough. You were banned for not accepting a warning and then when told to drop it you just wouldn’t. This led to a discussion with the other mods which then led to one of your bans. Then when you were allowed to return you went back to the original argument and ended up with another one. Then when BT started you again returned to arguing the past ban. And now you are doing it again.

As someone else said you do not change or learn.

This discussion/argument had drawn to a natural end when you reappeared and commented on a few posts after they had gone quiet for a few days and now we are back here again.

BLACK was deemed to be a 'NO, NO'. In my defence, I spoke of the American 'Black Power' movement. Said Head then churlishly pointed out that I was English, not American, and we have our own codes of conduct and standards.

No wonder kids grow up confused.

 

Because it's not that offensive, my boss is from the Caribbean and he refers to himself as black. Coloured/Black it's all PC rubbish it is what we are, it's like me getting called white and being upset about it. Aslong as it's not meant in a derogatory way it's fine.

 

Fair enough, but much water has passed under the bridge since then.

But just one thing ............. When I first joined C&B, I was referring to a player, but couldn't recall his name. I unfortunately used the term Bronco used, to describe the player. Not one member pulled me up on that, yet about six knew exactly who I was referring to, and offered his name.

Amazing what difference a few years make. I blame it all on PC.
