This is bang on because right now we are back to square one. Forget the 5 seasons of steady progress, thats just a distant memory, what we had to show for that has gone. And this is where Rupp needs to show his hand. If we have a bad half of the season to January this club would be a good proposition for new owners, an ideal time to buy when the stock and value is rock bottom. But whether it be Rupp or whoever this club is crying out for a long term vision to take the club forward again, at the moment we're just treading water. And if you stay still for too long eventually you'll sink.

One Helluva shopping list you have there ! ;)
But I can only agree. Let's not get back to the way we were ......... We can surpass that, with some decent ideas and planning.

    We’re mired in a mindset that’s 10, 15, even 20 years out of date.

Our training facilties are sub standard. Where do the bulls train? Do they have a highly professionalised training facility with a gym, pool, massage therapy, cryotherapy and athletic level catering? I’m guessing not - there has to be an investment opportunity there. A jointly funded professional training ground venture with shared running costs. We could go a step further and pursue a joint, brand new stadium. Maybe get the council involved. Include hotel, restaurant and shopping facilities and partner with local and national businesses with a presence in the Bradford area. It’s that kind of thinking that’s missing and why our sports club - and city - is dying on its arse.

Unless something fundamentally changes, we’re going nowhere.

It is, but that’s my point. Are we ambitious or not? There’s a level of significant investment needed for us to become a proper championship standard outfit. I don’t see us having that appetite, sadly. And if we don’t, I think we’ll stagnate indefinitely

Good post just the one comment I think most fans were delighted we resigned Payne at the time Jack was very much a part of the few good performances the team put in during December.

Maybe we're too late, I believe BPA will be sharing facilities with the Bulls, apart from the pitch I'm not sure if were the Bulls train.

At the time, true. But that was based on a view that it wouldn’t impact our other business. It clearly did and in hindsight was a mistake.

The down side of Payne for me was knowing just how much is was to cost us, when it was too late. For sure I wanted us to keep him, but not at the price we've paid - Particularly with his 2019 performances, and his position on the bench in mind.

The Bulls train at Tong school, the training centre and pitches are behind the old burnt out Yorkshire Martyrs building. Decent facilities, the gym is good. Not sure who owns them.

According to Simon Parker he said we had to pay more if his wages if we wanted to keep him, even in January paying the extra to keep him looked to make sence as our only concern was staying in league one and at ths time he was lets say our better performers, as @faithfulBantam said in hindsight it was a bad move.

Doesn’t really matter. The point FB is making is that we need to think beyond what the next 2 years brings. We need to think outside of our box. We need to make a business case to the Council so they can justify investing in sports facilities in this city. Council elections this week, so we could have an entirely new council.

In either event, we need investors, not just one, sharing the load. Before any of that we need a business plan for the whole club with yearly targets, plus 5 year and 10 years updates.

Of course we do thats why Julian & Mark sold the club hoping these two who had the money would invest and would also have a long term plan, which they told us they had.
i very much doubt Rupp will invest another penny into the club with regards the likes if training facilities, and I hope he doesn't the first team is the priority, and always should be.
