What does relegation mean to you ....

Mine was the failure to beat Fleetwood ..... at Home. Almost confirmed with an Away loss at Walsall, and finally failing to beat Oxford.

 

We managed to get the above players in before, so why not similar again?. It can be done.

I dont know how much rebuilding Bowyer had to do at Blackpool, or indeed budget. But he proved himself by getting a basket case football club promoted at the first attempt, so why not a repeat of that for Bowyer?

 

We are traditionally a 3rd tier club. I think a city of our size with a fanbase and decent ground such as ours should have aspirations of the 2nd tier as our home. We were steadily progressing towards that and we've probably put any realistic hope of achieving that aim about 5-10 years into the future. That's pissed me right off.

You look at the Championship and the teams we'd be playing every week. Thousands of visiting fans, brilliant atmosphere, excellent standard of football, guaranteed entry into the third round of the cup so potential Premier league opponents. Its one of the best leagues in Europe and we were on the cusp.

Contrast that to next season and get angry.

 

Just confirmed what I already knew at Christmas, Predicted it then and got a bit of a blasting and challenged to a bet but the writing was on the wall under Hopkin, The choice of replacement was double edged in GB because he was the wrong man to keep us up but maybe will be the right one for next season.

 

Not a happy Easter bunny here. I know it has been coming, but was hoping for some magic dust from somewhere. Unfortunately we have been here before, but let’s not get comfortable down there. When I woke up this morning it wasn’t the first thing on my mind, but when it came back to me, I just felt sad and having matches still to play, so the pain gets dragged out.

As I posted on another thread, we will have to wait and see which way the board is going to move, and how the finances stack up. Obviously, I can’t assess the players who will fit into league 2, but I want most of them gone, but that might not happen.

 

We will all have to be patient , we will need a good preseason , time to gel ,new players need time to bed in ,and we can judge them by Christmas ,Rome wasn't built in a day. It is all part of the ten year plan .If we show some of the fight and spirit from this season there will be no problem.

 

What ?? The FIGHT that got us relegated ? .............. You've lost me, bud.

 

Hope it is quicker than 10 years, A third of our supporters may not be around that long

 

Gutted but not surprised, im getting abit of pain over here in beston land but that's par for course, either way it's going to be a interesting close season, and we have got rid of the idiot that created this mess.

 

I’m not that bothered, maybe because we have been shite all season and the players don’t really look that bothered or be arsed putting any fight in trying to stay up, my opinion might change next season when we are playing Solihull Moors if they come up

 

Very true, although if our tickers can get us through this debacle of a season our hearts must be in good shape.

 

Your turn might come in the Championship play offs, Leeds throwing a golden opportunity like yesterdays against 10 men Wigan will hopefully come back and bite the mighty Whites in the arse .

Couldn’t really be arsed. I haven’t been this season and not really planning on attending next season. I’ve had quite enjoyable weekends without it being spoilt by watching ‘football’.
Neither of my young lads seemed to have caught the bug and I’d rather spend time with them.

 

Seen it all before. I was more worried when City had to apply for re-election to the 4th division.

Resigned myself too it months back so doesn’t feel any different now it’s confirmed . Not enjoyed this season so next season Carnt get any worse . Hopefully a new team with some players that care and give there all . Few new grounds too so looking forward to the fixture list coming out so can get planning some days out . No point dwelling on it . The bradford City roller coaster goes on

 

Called it after the debacle of sacking mccall that we would struggle this season and said another orient beckons I am half right so far with relegation to L2 hope to God I am overreacting to the half.
