The absolute shambles that was Tuesday night's game and you're digging out Oteh?

What is he supposed to do when the ball is constantly lumped just anywhere in a 60 yard radius and his nearest support is still in our own penalty area?

There's only two people to blame for Tuesday and neither of them are Oteh.

Sometimes players fit, Doyle hasn't fit since he's been here, it's unfair on the lad to have him here. Better off using the freed up salary elsewhere. You have a system that suits Doyle to a tee but its not done exclusively to fit Doyle. Our strength is defensive, its not pretty to watch but neither was the football served up by Parkinson and thay was based on defence. A central defensive midfielder is an absolute must for us, we simply don't have one.

 

The word on the grapevine was we don’t have a pot to piss in and Bowyer was told Doyle and Vaughan were off for financial reasons.

I hoped that it was bollocks and that we would show some money, but our actions say otherwise. Talking up Patrick and loaning Mottley Henry - it really can’t get much worse.

Rhodes loaned Windass out to save cash and it relegated us. Even though still theoretically in the promotion hunt, he’s handicapped Bowyer now, taking away his two big assets, and made another season-busting move. All because he can’t budget properly and our cheap ST prices are biting us on the backside.

Just waiting for the club to tell Simon Parker we aren’t expecting any more arrivals tomorrow then we know we have been well and truly lied to by Rhodes and Rupp and been proper shafted.

 

Vaughan and Doyle don't want to be here. Big wages cleared and the disruptive influence dealt with.

100% agree. Doyle never wanted to come back and Vaughan, despite a decent enough goal return, hasn’t had the effect we would all hope - both down to the way play.

If this allows funds for the right replacements and a midfield general - then I’m surprisingly ok with this.

 

Apart from the comedy value what is the point of anybody turning up tomorrow night, match should be boycotted by all City fans, let them know how we feel...

Strangely, as I am sick of him, I can’t knock Bowyer for this, you can’t have unhappy players in the camp Vaughan obviously doesn’t give a stuff for us and we know Doyle doesn’t either so good riddance.

 

Lets wait until we hear more or for the truth to come out before we pass judgement on this one. I simply don't believe that Bowyer would sell Doyle and Vaughan because they disagree with his tactics. For one why would he bring Doyle back from Swindon in the first place knowing that he likely wouldn't fit into his system? I also think the Chairman or Rhodes might have something to say about that if it were true.

Something has clearly happened above and beyond what we are seeing on the pitch. I don't know what off field shenanigans have been going on, but I would be extremely surprised if this was just a case of the players not liking Bowyers tactics. We've looked off the boil since new year, it wouldn't surprise me if something has happened behind the scenes.

Doyle & BCFC are total misfit so I am glad the right thing is being done and hopefully a good financial deal has been made, after all Swindon are going up.

Vaughan I am not sure about, it's like he is playimg a different game to to his teammates at times and it all seems a bit "Me me me", tbh I'd swap him for Jordi Hiwula right now.

So, 2 big earners off the books and, for different reasons, I don't think we'll miss either. I really do hope that all this is for new arrivals though..........

Talk about an over reaction....jeez, you don’t even know the circumstances behind the decision yet.

Note, we played better without Doyle and when Vaughan was previously suspended. Wait and see before calling the man a piece of trash....

 

The other big problem we now have, is that teams we are trying to sign from know that we're desperate, and may have some cash in the bank from the Doyle sale. They are just going to be pushing the prices up and holding out because they have the cards on their side, not us! It really is like ground hog day. I remember feeling happy when GB came in and said that he'll be looking to get transfers done as soon as possible, and utilise two maybe three windows to get the squad he wants.

Yet here we are again, losing not one, but two of our main strikers, without a pot to piss in and seemingly no plan what do do. Factor in the atmosphere coming from the stands, then this is a momumental *@?$ up from all involved at the club.

The way to appease fans, would be to announce those two leaving, but in the same sentence say, don't worry, we've got these two players of equal/better quality coming in.

 

Obviously if we get the same quality in or better then we can say that it was a risky but good decision. My real concern is why couldn’t this have been planned? You don’t suddenly wake up on Monday morning and decide to get rid of your two best strikers with 4 days to go. It just feels like our usual feck up. Plus not a word from the club, just massive ‘leaks’ to the press.
