Vaughan is a shock but who can blame him wanting to go we are a graveyard for strikers
Doyle was always going to return to Swindon the club were playing hard ball with him but got cold feet when they saw Swindon could score goals without him and hurriedly agreed a poorer deal as there isn't much of the window left now it was a game of poker which we lost
The only way Vaughan and Doyle would work would be to get rid of Bowyer can't see that happening now We are a complete mess on and off the pitch how this mess can be sorted is a mystery to me

No excuses for it! Yes we will have replacements lined up but will them replacements be 31 goals in their locker?

Vaughan is the captain and he will be speaking up for the team. From an attacking front the team has been poor!

I just think it's alll about Rhodes and Rupp not having the confidence we will go up and are cashing in!

I think they feel Bowyer isn't going to take us up but want the money..

 

11 goal is okay not brilliant...my god. That's 2nd in the league and in the worst attacking side I've ever seen! What are you lot on?!

 

A club at our level and budget cannot replace that amount of goals in 3 days of a window. I fear we are gonna sign a lump of a target man and bank the rest of the money until the summer

 

To be fair getting double figures in this team isn't bad going.

 

I don't have an issue with either leaving. The problem I have is why is Vaughan wanting out and the fact that the window shuts in 4 days.
We are going to have to pay premium with 4 days remaining and unlikely to get the quality we need. You would hope that with Vaughan leaving for Tranmere means that we have a replacement sorted already otherwise it is career suicide for Bowyer.

Spot on mate. Changing the manager at this stage of the season without changing some of the players would be pointless. Like him or not the manager has to stay until late in the season. So the obvious thing to do is to get rid of what isn't working and go for something that just might do it. I'm no fan of Bowyer but it seems the pragmatic way forward, providing the incomers are right for the job.
