If this is true, this will be the biggest act of lunacy from our board for as long as I can remember!

Before heading for the life boats... I'm not that upset at the news -if it turns put to be true.
Doyle should never have come back. It didn't work out for him here and if we can make few ££ on him so much the better. Yes you can harp on about his 23 goals but the fact is that he has scored nowt with us. So IMO no great loss. He frees up a large chunk of wage bill.
Vaughan also hasn't proved himself to be the deadly threat we all hoped for. 11 goals is okay but its not brilliant. His disciplinary record means he's missed a few games which would have been more concerning if he'd been scoring on a regular basis.
Both departures free up the wage bill.
It remains to be seen who comes in as replacements. Get it right and this is good for us. Get it wrong and we'll continue to drift into mid-table midecroty .
The board aint going to sack GB unless things get really really bad. So, something else needs to done to change the course we're on. This looks like the answer they've come up with.

Vaughan gone because Bowyer 'would never stand in the way of someone wanting to play at a higher level'.

Hang on, weren't we 'taking decisions purely based over what's best for this football club' this week Gary?

    I smell bullshit....

He has no choice but to villainize the players, because right now, that idiot is enemy number one.

Unless Doyle and Vaughan have BOTH committed a serious non-football related crime, Bowyer has just committed career suicide.

It's his job to MANAGE the players. If he can't manage the personalities, one of which he brought in, he is not fit for purpose at any club up and down the land.

    I can picture the scene....

J.R - “Right Bowza, let’s release a statement pretending that we’ve made a bid for that Grigg bloke at Sunderland but instead we’ll sneak in the idea that Omari is back to smash in the goals we’ll need to cement a 15th place finish”

Bowyer - “great, does that mean I can have another midfielder?”

J.R - “No cos we didn’t have a cup run so we’ll have to cut our cloth”

Bowyer - “but I thought Ruppy baby was sending over some Euros?”

J.R - “Yeah he was going to, but he’s such an astute businessman that Edin has emptied his bank account without him noticing”

Bowyer - “so where’s Edin now”

J.R - “organising his airplane and banner which reads ‘He who laughs last, laughs loudest....so long feckers!!’ He’ll be passing over during the next home game”

Imagine have the two top goal scorers in the league and acting like THEY'RE the problem when one scored 23 in 22 with another manager in the same league.

some happy clappers are absolutely bonkers.

Not even about that, it's about competent leadership.

Bowyer has been unable to produce adequate results from Doyle and Vaughan - unfortunately for him, Doyle has caught the eye of the footballing world, and Vaughan is easily our top scorer despite the abysmal performances under Bowyer - on that basis alone, Vaughan has to stay.

With Bowyer unable to manage our best players, it's up to the ownership to deal with that issue.

The wrong way to deal with the issue is to oust our top performing striker, and a forward who's scored for fun at a rival club (that they loaned him to, in the same division).

It's error after error after error, and at the heart of it is Bowyer's bad management.

There's only one person that should be leaving this club, it's the one of least long-term value. Gary Bowyer.

I would suggest that going into the managers office with a 'FFS gaffer lets try and play football and attack teams' hasn't quite panned out then....

So people like @Park bantam@Park bantam were saying wait to Donaldson comes back.

Vaughan and Donaldson will see his through blah blah.

Now it looks like we will be selling a 23 goal scorer

    And

Our leading goal scorer and bloody Captain!

    Embarrassing!

Slump in form has coincided with Doyles return...? He was back for about 2 games?

We've won 3 in 17! How is that man in a job

I think the next 48 hours will tell us an awful lot about where our club is going.

Like a lot of us said when the news broke, the club have backed a deeply unpopular manager incapable of playing an effective and attractive brand of football in favour of two excellent League Two strikers easily capable of firing us to promotion.

    Why?

    Because it's cheaper.

Sadly, the fan base was infuriated the second it heard the news, and are smart enough to see what's happening.

Confirming Power, Jewell and Wellens have played a blinder with Doyle this season, unlike the clowns in charge of us.

Power and Jewell ex City players too, and of course Jewell ex manager who got us promised to the Premiership. Can we swap Jewell and Wellens for Rhodes and Bowyer please?

Good luck for the rest of the season, I think you are nailed on for the title now. We meanwhile, will now struggle to stay in the play offs.
