Vaughan and Doyle gone

J.R - “Right Bowza, let’s release a statement pretending that we’ve made a bid for that Grigg bloke at Sunderland but instead we’ll sneak in the idea that Omari is back to smash in the goals we’ll need to cement a 15th place finish”

Bowyer - “great, does that mean I can have another midfielder?”

J.R - “No cos we didn’t have a cup run so we’ll have to cut our cloth”

Bowyer - “but I thought Ruppy baby was sending over some Euros?”

J.R - “Yeah he was going to, but he’s such an astute businessman that Edin has emptied his bank account without him noticing”

Bowyer - “so where’s Edin now”

J.R - “organising his airplane and banner which reads ‘He who laughs last, laughs loudest....so long feckers!!’ He’ll be passing over during the next home game”

 

You have to laugh at the situation otherwise you’d cry

 

I get your point but until the window closes and we haven't got replacement there's no point in beating yourself up about it, I'm sure the club will find that fans are not happy if nothing materialises, remembering they are trying to sell season tickets on the back of this season.

 

unfortunately whether we are a big pull or not, this league is not a big pull.

Time and time again we try and sign these players who are unrealistic targets and end up with last minute panic loans or ones who are simply not good enough.

 

Point is Bronco that judging by the T&A article is that we were banking on bringing a £4M striker and we've failed so GB says he's looking to get Patrick back involved. Come on mate, it's a shambles.

 

And this is why I keep saying getting rid of Bowyer isn’t going to solve all our problems, tbh it might not make much difference at all. Those from the top down need to leave, IMO chants should be aimed at the board first before Bowyer, it’s a never ending cycle. Even McCall in 16/17 didn’t have all the coaching staff and guys behind the scenes needed imo, and it’s been the same ever since. Sack bowyer and the next guy will have to put up with what he’s got mark my words. It won’t change till the owner and Rhodes go.

 

Perhaps the massive confidence boost Patrick will get from being mentioned in the same news article as Grigg, will turn his fortunes around and he’ll become the lethal striker he was always meant to be.

Or perhaps not.

 

I think the next 48 hours will tell us an awful lot about where our club is going.

 

It’s looking like Rhodes challenge of 20,000 ST’s is gonna be really close. Just one zero too many.

 

All our comedy moments happen with Rhodes around. Signing Billy Clarke last January was the final nail in the coffin for L1. The guy is a grade A Buffon and needs to buy himself a season ticket and get the hell out of the boardroom.

 

Its not looking good letting players go before you have their replacement in the building I commented on it when the news broke, if they don't bring replacements in that will impact on season ticket sales for next season IMO, but as yet I would hope they have replacements line up.

We finally have Donaldson back, a player who Doyle has not had the opportunity to partner as part of a front 2. I say tell Swindon where to shove their offer, keep Doyle and see if he can strike a profitable partnership with Donaldhino.

It's clear Bowyer knew this was going to happen and said Patrick you're sh&te but so am I! Let's be sh&te together and brought him back!

 

Rumour has it Doyle to Swindon is done, will be confirmed tomorrow. Staying at the Marriot Hotel in Swindon tonight apparently!

 

I like Omari Patrick, not saying he has a great future or anything but (IMO) he is player we shouldn't give up on just yet. He's super fast, strong & has skill, but at 23 he needs to get going NOW, Oteh turning up and & getting game time must have been a kick in the teeth for him, but he went to Wrexham and scored goals, what more can he do? The one v Chorley (You Tube) is a total screamer. He's got something and now needs to show it because if he doesn't he won't have a league club next season.

 

I sort of agree, pre season game but he didn't look completely out of place in that Liverpool game I just don't think he's going to kick on unfortunately and he's certainly not the answer to replace Doyle/Vaughan.
