Good post. The only thing I would disagree with is that they will get us promoted out of league one with this strategy but it won’t be for maybe 4/5 years

To expect football fans in this country to forgo immediate success is alien to us and whether they can keep us interested over the next few years whilst we go through this ‘significant’ interim period is a mahoosive challenge

You could see that something was building under Parky. We need to start that progress again and commit to it.

Get 5 or 6 good youngsters in the team who will develop over 4 or 5 years.

Parky did it with Darby, Meredith, McCardle & Hanson.

It didn't feel like we were building last season.

 

Don't you think it would have been better to have followed Grayson statement, rather than days after when fans have been asking for clarification on the present situation from the club ?.

 

This is why people wanted them to tell us exactly what lessons they’ve learned and what’s going to change.

 

Nothing to do with Luke Hendrie or Yeovil. I'm just going off his own quotes. Reffering to himself as director of football, telling us how PP could bounce off his ideas, signing/ releasing players without McCall knowing, part of the transfer committee etc etc. He's been very much involved. A chairman should sit back and let the professionals get on with it.

the long term aim was set out right at the beginning. However your right one lesson that needs to be learnt is don’t make rash promises

I’m fine in principle with what they’ve said.

Two problems though:

1) A head coach needs a Sporting Director and if Edin is still doing that job then it proves that he’s learnt nothing. We need to recruit for a qualified Sporting Director too.
2) Who is charge of player recruitment? Again if the answer is Edin it proves that they’ve learnt nothing.
