Actually, I think people will accept that - if it's clear there is a forward-thinking, long-term reason.

What I've asked for is the leadership to nail their colours to the mast. If it's promotion they want, the development squad is a hindrance and a waste of time. The transfer system, likewise, isn't even remotely conducive to the play offs. Coaches can be sacked based on their (in)ability to coach a bunch of players they didn't really want just because somebody thought they had potential, but ONLY if they are underperforming.

Quite clearly under Stuart, we were NOT underperforming.

If financial stability is what we're after, okay, let's show some patience.

If the development squad is the key to our success, fine, maybe we'll have enough players with resale value in three or four years time to actually cover the costs of being in the Championship.

But again, sacking Stuart for failing to achieve some moronic objective of promotion under those conditions is ridiculous and reprehensible.

Rahic and Rupp have spoken, they've said they want to continue with our transfer and recruitment policies, well, so be it. But don't tell us we're a top three side or that we have to achieve promotion next season, because frankly, eleventh is a bit of an achievement for us and our spread-too-thin-midtable-budget.

As for fans not wanting to show any patience, well, that's just not fair. We've asked the leadership FOR leadership, and clarity, and an understanding of our projected objectives. Hopefully, we're seeing the start of an actual consistent vision, which has been SORELY lacking up until this point.

If we're going to be asked to get behind younger players and show patience as we try to bring them on for an actual, valid reason (and there's hope of it working out), then let's show that patience.

But the way Stuart was treated (and from all accounts he was not alone) will not stand going forward.

This should be a last chance and a final warning for Rahic and Rupp.

Treat people right, run the club right, tell the truth, be open and honest, or get the hell out of Bradford City.

Well this head coach idea has been a disaster for Huddersfield hasn't it. Just think if we had picked up a German reserve team coach who was a friend of Jurgen Klopp and then called him head coach, the meltdown on here would blow up this site. Still as Huddersfield pick up another 100 million for another season in premier league I imagine they'll see the error of their ways and listen to the pitchfork brigade on here and change their rediculous idea.

Wagner brought in the majority of the players that went to town that's the difference our 'Head coach' won' have that luxury.

You say that, but here's a quote from Wagner ahead of this season:

“At first I thought maybe this is the best moment to say: ‘Thank you very much, always when we see each other in our lives, we will celebrate together,’” he said before explaining why that thought did not last. “I always had the feeling in the last 18 months that I had an owner on my side that I really trust. He really wants to keep me at this club. I don’t have to play a role here. I can be exactly the man I am as a person and a manager.

I think we have one of the best owners in British football, a local man and fan who supports you with everything he’s able to do. This is not something you should leave only because you have a better financial offer. And I like the people here, I like my team. I am such a happy man because I have a new challenge and still the same people around me. Nothing is better than that.”

I don't see much in the way of a parallel, to be honest.

Huddesfield have a very good owner, and have managed to get a very good coach. Their fans must think all their Christmases have come at once.

It's a bit unrealistic to hope ours can be on a par with Hoyle though, there a probably about 70 clubs fans who would love to be in Huddersfields position, off the field wise but you have to get very lucky.

If only Lawn and Rhodes were about 50x richer we could have been the lucky ones.

They have a transfer committee as well which includes Chairman Dean Hoyle.

It is just possible that Mr Wagner has the major input though Dean Hoyle will have the final say on affordability

Sorry @Captain Grumpy@Captain Grumpy I don't see the comparison to Huddersfield Town they have a chairman who was quite happy to write off £5/6 m every season, plus they used the loan market both last season and this, something our owners told us they did'nt want Stuart to do, we want to bring our own young players through was their goal.

Every club as a committee but Wagner gets the final say and if he things they are what he needs they sign. We however don't work like that our head coach will coach not be the one that has the final word there is the difference.

Actually I am not so sure about, 'but had absolutely no problem with doing it in pre season'.

Is that getting people to sign, or the quality of the players?

We struggled to get a centre half and ended up with Thompson who failed badly as the right sided centre half. Some of the other signings, in respect of quality have been poor.

We also signed Lukas Raeder at the end of August. Why have three senior goalkeepers, when we have a tight budget, is beyond sense.

I just think people are getting too worked up over the owners, I don't remember this pitchfork mentallty when we were about to go to Odsal in 2011 and Lawn spouting off about taking the seats with him. Jacko as manager ,a 1 5 defeat in last game of season against Crewe, now that is real gloom. Oh and Lawn sacked McCall as well and nearly sent him to a nervous breakdown but somehow nobody got as worked up as they are now.

Don't remember Lawn promising championship within 3 seasons and eventually premiership. Promising something you can't deliver brings the brickbats on failure

Mark Warburton ticks all the boxes.
    If he's interested.
    16/1 latest odds.
Plenty over in Nottingham rate him still.

I guess the one good thing about the Club putting that information on the City website, is that a lot of people are looking at it.

When I looked they had 7707 views!

So a lot of people are going to the website.

ahh yes, you've only just reminded me of the CB situation. That apart, we had no problem in bringing players in early. Before July last year we'd already signed Chicksen, Reeves, Poleon, Taylor and Mcarten. So pretty much all of our major signings.

Interested? Might he be too busy or summat?

Took over a very good (Rosler) team at superbly run football club and did well, who'd have thought it? Been sacked twice since, Brentford carry on their upward curve.
