From a starting price of £149 , then all the increments would be in line with the inflation rate pending ra h season.

Baldwin has a public Facebook page if anyone’s brave enough to ask him straight up.

See what happens. If he does he does
    If he doesn’t he doesn’t

Let’s all keep putting the lottery on twice a week and he might not have too.

And I’ve said it again and again on here why does a “big budget” guarentee success?

I’d sooner cut the transfer fees we paid last summer and sign players on that on frees and use the money for wages.

We got people through the gates under Parky because the morale of the team was fantastic and fans felt a part of it all. The players cared, the manager breathed it into them all. We’ve had 4 months of excuses from Grayson slating the players, which they deserved at times but what’s happened to a motivational manager who got every ounce out of what he has got?

The budget is a factor but it’s an easy get out for me every time.

Fergie beat arsenal once with 6 defenders on the pitch. Do you think he built them all up or had them beat before they walked onto the pitch?

Give me that anyday over an Aaron McLean picking up 6k a week, just so we can say we have a big budget

But everyone that has responded already has a ‘fixation’ with City. As I keep saying, you’re asking the wrong group of fans. You need to be targeting your audience to solely those that started buying STs from 2013 onwards.

For you, I and every other Bradford City nut, we will pay the extra and most of have have done before now. But those that have only ever known cheap tickets, are more likely to baulk at a 68% increase per adult ticket.

Put another way, if they came on the back of our success and were happy to pay £310 for a family of 4 (£13.50 for a family day out), suddenly see that cost rise to £540 (£23.50), you may not get the same results.

Has he actually said they were too much though? He said the increase is 400% which is a fact. What other product quadruples in price in 12mths?

I believe he was saying his kids are now at the age where they are no longer eligible for the u11 tickets and next year they will be charged the Junior rate, which he feels is too much, especially if they have lost interest.

You need to learn to read what is written and not just what you think the poster is saying..!

Someone else posted similar and it’s a fair point. I still hold the same opinion though - quality and success is an overriding factor.

And at some point if we want to be successful, we need to stop being such a set of miserly bastards and pay something mor akin to the going rate.

Interesting post How, yet nowhere in my post did I say that a big budget guaranteed success. Success is clearly not purely down to budgets, however, in the law of averages, give you a better chance of being successful if you can afford to attract the better players. I appreciate that this is not an exact science, that Bury spent big this season and we all know how that panned out, but Bury being an anomaly, Blackburn and Wigan (and Sheffield United last season) walked this league because they spent on real talent, had the better players/more talent at their disposal.

I’m in complete agreement re the transfer fees, it’s clear for all to see that we wasted significant sums on players last year whereby that cash could have been used to secure better players on frees with better wages and I hope that’s the path we take this summer as there are some quality players out of contract looking at the lists on the other threads.

The key to this being successful is surely paying the going rate, acting quickly and securing these players before other teams do. Alas as a club, we never seem particularly sharp off the mark, and year after year, see the cream off the out of contract players seemingly sign for the teams around us, and of course being shrewd and avoiding anymore Aaron McLeans!

Re PP, he was outstanding at working on a shoestring. Personally I see it and appreciate what he achieved more now, given the current state of affairs at the club. He has that ability to motivate and get that extra bit out of his squads, built a real team spirit and belief, it’s testament to the bloke, and I for one hope the next manager has a similar effect on our squad, as I think that trait is priceless at any level. Of course if we can go someway to achieving this with the new manager, then as you rightly point out, success on the field will lead to the fans filling the stadium and those who’s interest is waning, will hopefully have a renewed interest and passion for the club

You don’t think the likes of Baldwin and Mason thought about that when setting prices? Both have said there is a fine line and if footfall drops, it doesn’t just hit us in ticket sales, we lose revenue from the corporate side.

Maybe the club should mail every customer on their database and ask how much they’d be willing to pay to have a better chance of success.

Contact JM and ask him directly
