in that case what is the point and why are people worried if it changes if tickets always go to season ticket holders?

Because we never want to see fans having to camp out overnight at VP ever again.
The priority scheme stopped that happening on Sunday night.

Has the average age on this board suddenly dropped. Surely no-one over the age of 20 refers to "merch". Even Kev's at it . :grinning:

The point is that it gives those that travel the most a guaranteed ticket whilst giving all season ticket holders the chance to go to every away game. It makes forward planning easier, as I got a ticket for Northampton I knew I would get a ticket for Carlisle. It's right that those who travel the most get the first refusal of tickets. The reality is that 1380 points wasn't that unachievable and you could reach it in theory without doing an away game this season or last.

And also, the only reason Carlisle tickets went on sale to season ticket holders was because the club allowed it to in the interests of some fairness.
They only put 1400 on sale to points holders and kept 400 back for everyone else.
I don’t think that was the right thing to do but at least it gave people a chance

Because people like the opportunity to be almost guaranteed tickets so they can book travel and organise the day.

Once it goes to ST holders there's very much the possibility that you may miss out.

If you are gonna argue your point, at least back it up with fact, instead of just “it would”. It’s like talking to a petulant teenager

Why do people do that?! Bloody infuriating

    second question is this. IMG_2820.png

if you are talking about the question about how points are calculated it gives the details for this season but does t anywhere say that it will be one year and the current going forward. The tooling basis it talks about is for this season, so your points change as the year goes on.

the following paragraph says a number of years, not specifically one previous year

Feel free to back up your claims with a screenshot of it saying it.

because he can not. In his mind he was read one thing and decided that it means something that it doesn’t actually say.

*The total number of loyalty points for the 2022/23 season will consist of the loyalty points gained in the previous full season, and then on a rolling basis.

Therefore, for the start of the 2022/23 season the points gained for continuous membership will be totalled for the following seasons:

    (a) 2021/22 – complete

    (b) 2022/23 – on a rolling accrual basis*

    AND

*The club's loyalty scheme aims to show recognition to supporters who have maintained the most active match attendance records over a number of years.*

Combine these two together and that's what you get

Again, that is your interpretation. The rolling basis it talks about is the bit for this year. The example of this year can not go back any further as we didn’t have the scheme running.

if it was just one previous year why does the second paragraph say a number of years. Plural, not just one year

    Because two years is plural?

It is the current and one year according to you.

the fact we are having this discussion shows that it isn’t clear.

not that it matters anyway as they are announcing the details for the new scheme at some point during the close season.

If you buy an away ticket City get none of that money our opponents do.

I agree it's not clear at all. But the scheme is just being renamed?

I wonder if the team would prefer us to buy 4000 shirts instead of filling the Donny away end?

That sort of comment reeks of Sparks but I'm absolutely positive that Hughes, the coaching staff and all the squad share a different view.

no it isn’t. It is changing, that is the whole point. The phrasing in the announcement says it will reward purchases at the club, doesn’t just say tickets.

We shall have to wait and see.

another clue it is more than a name change isin the announcement of the feedback request it say here is a link to the current loyalty scheme details. If it wasn’t changing there would be no need for it to say current.
