have the club actually confirmed that? They have been vague on all the details I have seen, usually using the phrase a number of years rather than stating this and previous only

It's a scheme for away tickets, what you describe is really about something else.

By your own comment you are suggesting the more you spend with BCAFC, the more up the pecking order you go in order to give money to another club.

Lets be hones if loyalty points didn't exist, there is a fair chance that a large majority of tickets would fall to fans who haven't even attended an away league fixture this season.

    Aye.

Stay at home and watch Swindon away on ifollow, dressed in your new City shirt and we'll give you more points than those mugs doing the 8 hour round trip on a Tuesday night to make sure you get a ticket for any local away games.

    Sems fair.

Yep, everyone will probably drop around 500 points at least

So are you suggesting that fans who travel to away games should get no points or that purchases / iFollow should also give points.
If that was the case I would still go to away games but I’d also buy an iFollow pass and therefore you’d still be behind in the points totals.
I suspect there would be several hundred who would do the same.
Some people just won’t accept that there are in fact several hundred Uber fans who will do almost anything to ensure they’d get an away ticket to plum games.
Assigning points for purchases just means those people will spend more than you and still be further up the pecking order.
Keep it as it is where points are given for attending away games

In that case definitely should change it and increase the income, which is always the idea behind loyalty schemes.

they didn’t. I’ve looked back and no where does it say what you are saying. The closest it comes to is it explains how it works this year but doesn’t say that that will be repeated next year, just including one year previous. What it actually says is

The club's loyalty scheme aims to show recognition to supporters who have maintained the most active match attendance records over a number of years.

It doesn’t say just last year

Can you imagine the furore if Man Utd suddenly announced a new scheme which meant the rich Johnny come lately’s got a ticket for the Manchester derby in front of long term travelling fans!
BCFC should stop trying to piss about with it. It works just fine as it is.
Fans who want to guarantee access to big away games should make the effort and get to more non attractive away games. It’s that simple

Then it becomes a scheme for the wealthy. Might as well just bring back the away travel membership we had in the premier league and charge a decent whack for it.

If it is a loyalty scheme for just obtaining away tickets then they might as well kept the priority ticket membership. Because as far as I can see the current scheme is no better. I can't accumulate more points to qualify for away games if I don't already have the points because I can't get a ticket for an away game. It's a catch 22.
I'm not just talking about away games here that loyalty points are used for. I'm suggesting that the more you spend, that directly benefits BCFC, the more points you get.
Those points can be used in a variety of ways. Yes, moving up the pecking order for away games is one. But offers for home games such as upgrades, or getting discounts on merch.

Maybe but there's also a point when 'taking the absolute p1ss' will override any loyalty you previously had.

That's not true, every single away game went to ST holder sales with zero point restrictions. Even the Carlisle play off game.

Absolutely. There have been ample opportunities for fans to attend away games this season but the fact remains with the exception of Rochdale and Doncaster, it’s the same 800-1000 faces you’ll see at every away game and those same faces will be at Carlisle on Saturday and rightly so.
No further debate. The scheme is perfect

I suggested that, and leave the loyalty scheme for all purchases that the club make money from

change what? They have never said it was just one year and the current. This year had to be as it only started last year, but all other references say a number of years, not one year. So it wouldn’t be a change
