Wadsworth is only 17. Looks like we could have found one there.
Can he develop over the next 12 months, so we don't need to replace Ridehalgh when his contract expires.
We've got him on a pro deal to 2024, so little chance of him getting nicked for peanuts.

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek but many on here had already identified him as the weakness in our new squad. NOT me I hasten to add.

It wasn't a clear cut chance as Smallwood redeemed himself with a block tackle IIRC.

Otherwise Smallwood basically dictated City's play whilst he was on the pitch.

Threlkeld-I agree with you he is better off elsewhere.

Was Wadsworth the lad who came on at CB or the number 12 in midfield?

Smallwood is the key to going up. If he picks up any kind of long term injury i think we may struggle for top three.

I did, and as has been said you noticed when halliday went off and threlkeld came on. dont hate the guy as a person or anything but he was poor imo. really bad positional awareness and the cross when he should have shot had me groaning

12 was Harratt. I linked Parker's twitter post with the team sheet on in the match thread.

You did indeed, thanks again. Was very impressed with Harratt when he came on.

Do you know who he reminds me of………A slightly smaller, more mobile, Bobby Campbell when he first came to City. I know they are worlds apart but that’s the feeling I get in the cameos we have seen so far. I wish he was on our books though.

I unfortunately only started watching City in April 86, so didn't get to see Bobby that much. But if the kid can replicate a fraction of what Bobby achieved.......

Yes that's the shame isn't it. I think he looks a very exciting prospect :(

A Jack -the- lad ,carefree type of player . Hard to explain Dave, they don’t come around often. Trying to think of modern day players with the similar trait . Gazza when young, Robbie Blake when at City, but not after. Alan Shearer when he first joined Newcastle . Not a care in the world , just wanting to play football?

Tbh we still haven't seen that much of Harratt but all my Town mates really rate him. To me looks like a total pain in the arse for defenders and no respecter of reputations.

The problem is he will only be here until January as it is the norm at Town to recall and move them up a league. I can see him going back to Port Vale for the second half of the season and could be a very big loss if he scores a few.

That is a bit of a worry I admit, although continuing to hone his striking skills under MH might be a reason to keep him here. If he is getting game time and improving I don't think they will send him to another club......but they might recall him for themselves
