Some good looking additions there but none that I'm disappointed we've missed out on. I'm more than happy with the lads we've signed and wouldn't swap any of the 3 big signings for names on that list.

I don’t post on Twitter for my own sanity but the Crawley owners seem to be asking fans who they should sign next. Can the Tweeters on here go convince them to sign Kelleher and Threlkeld for 6 figure’s each and tell them they’re their soccer teams big rival players, they’re American they’ll probably fall for it

Anyone on here who wouldn't take Shane Long right now, if he was a viable target, give your heads a massive shake. Levels above anything we have or have had at the club for a long time. Forget the age he's got a couple of years left. And forget the goal tally, he's been playing at the highest level against the best defences, bit different to league 2 donkeys

Personally id like Cook to stay. for the following reason
1) He was our top scorer last year
2) He knows the division well
3) He is back in shape an looks ready to prove a point
but the main one is this
4) If Angol gets injured for 3 months as an example, an Harriat gets called back by Hudds in January, who are we left with? only Oliver an Young. That isn’t really something I think Hughes would be comfortable withDoodle, Chrisako, white coat bantam and 8 others like this. -

Kudos to the club for the way its gone about its business this summer. We've shown ambition, recruited younger players with resale potential, done business early, brought in competition and cover for every position and look to have secured the majority of targets we wanted. A couple of tweaks at the deadline, but no scrambling around in the final hours for players no one else wants.
Well done to all involved. We may or may not succeed this season, but its the first time in years that I can see the club operating to a plan, with reasonable and controlled ambition and doing all it can to create success. And all with a sustainable element, as we've recruited players on multi year contracts.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... My opinion and WILL NOT be disappointed if proved wrong but the playing personnel will not represent anything close to what you have suggested.
League 2 cast offs... Now we are talking.

Management appointments. 11 (how many promotions between Grayson, Adams, Bowyer, Hopkins, yet none can arrest Our clubs decline? ).
Yet further regression year in, year out. This club is FAILING. That failure is at the hands of Rupp.
You simply cannot ignore his record on CEO turnover, management turnover, falling attendances, year on year regression in league position and diabolical Cup record.
And some fans question this stance above (BTW. Each fans most definitely have the right to express their feelings on Rupp on either side of the spectrum)
I'm not making up figures to suit my agenda. This is simply shocking under Rupp.
I'm like you @WilsdenBantam, I want the guy out. I wish no harm on him or his family and wish him well in his future.
But one day, hopefully, that will not be with Bradford City.vin weasel, Ponty City, JonButterfield and 7 others like this. -

But Monkey's also right that if we can't keep the likes of Watt, Vernam and Paudie, none of whom have exactly been elite League Two players while they've been with us, how exactly do we do that?
Bottom line is, if we're not rewarding our most promising players with competitive pay rises, they're going to leave. We could put a marker down and go all out for those players, but if our budget isn't going to budge with it, what's the point?
Starting again is moronic, and we've literally been banging our head against a brick wall in recent seasons without even the slightest hope of showing an improvement, and yet the alternative requires something a little more creative than just 'we'll see if we can afford to keep them' or whatever Mark Hughes came out with this week.
The good news for those that see this regime for what it is, is, should Hughes not be given the tools to get the job done, it will FINALLY dawn on some of our fan base that no, the biggest problem wasn't Bowyer or Adams (despite the fact that they were objectionable in some ways), the problem is the guys running the show who'd struggle to organise a piss up in a brewery.
Actually, scratch that, I'm sure they COULD raise a piss up, but they'd only end up hiring a top class brewery and then outsourcing the catering to Carling and Pukkavin weasel, Inspector, Ponty City and 7 others like this. -
Its only of late that we're seeing the fruits of Hughes being able to focus on the attacking side of our play and how many games has the midfield and attacking 6 we saw yesterday played together? Twice? And in both games we've shown real attacking quality. We won't get much better than Vernam or Angol or Walker. Its important we keep them.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Especially ex players that have got nowhere near a promotion with us and give no hint that they can fire us to promotion this time.
If we're consolidating in L2 then yep. Sign Walsall's low scoring forward, or Carlisle's low scoring forward.
Alternatively, try and sign someone goodSolentbantam, Inspector, Petrov and 7 others like this. -

Pretty impressed with the speed with which we're signing players.
New keeper, Jamie Walker, Angol extended - tells me there's not much doubt in the minds of those players ahead of the new season.

The previous interviews I've taken umbridge with have been those that vaguely along the lines of 'we know we're its been crap, we're doing something about it, we're ambitious'. All whilst the club has been regressing.
There's much to do, but I think there are real signs now that the club has got its sh*t together and is primed for a positive cycle of progress.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...hornseabantam, baggers, Botswana Bantam and 7 others like this.
