Some of our fans just want to put the club down at any cost, without actually knowing the facts. All out of a dislike for Stephan Rupp or Ryan Sparks. We also have players under contract that he might not want to keep Threlked ,Cook, Songo wont be cheap.

Don't want to put the club down, Sparks, playing personnel but Rupp... He takes us backwards year in, year out.

You could argue, some of our fans being apathetic towards our owner, is damaging the club.

You’re banging your head against a brick wall there mate, I wonder why the club gets criticised…

I’m not going over old ground as everyone should know, but yes I do dislike Rupp as a football club owner(specifically our club) shouldn’t really need spelling out it should really be universal but I guess some are happy with where we are. I’d like to know though god forbid, what their excuses will be next season if we’re in the same position and onto another manager? Hopefully we don’t find out, but one day the penny will drop. Hopefully it won’t come before we do an Oldham.

Because they’re bored in life and Bradford is a boring city so as long as they have something to do on a Saturday all is fine but have zero standards or ambition.

Just listened to the latest press conference on BBC sounds. There was an interesting response from Hughes when Simon Parker mentioned that previous managers have taken potential new recruits out on to the pitch to wow them in to wanting to play for us. Rather than looking to impress the players, Hughes referred to Jamie Walker's reaction which was along the lines of "shrugs shoulders, yeah, that won't be a problem" and said that it could be a good way of seeing if a player is likely to be able to cope with the pressure of playing at VP.

Here you go,link to City players wages- Cook,Songo'o are high earners with Threkeld not far behind.
Will cost a chunk to pay them off.

No it's obvious that negative energy from fans has brought upon yearly regression. We got 5th L1 under Parky and decided as a collective to be totally negative about the club and it's brought us down to 16th in L2 unfortunately. Or did something else happen...

Edin Rahic AND Stefan Rupp took over our club May 2016. Rahic left DECEMBER 2018.

    2021/22 (to date)

16th League 2. Fa Cup 1st round elimination. League Cup 1st round elimination

    Average attendance 15783

    Since May 2016.

Management appointments. 11 (how many promotions between Grayson, Adams, Bowyer, Hopkins, yet none can arrest Our clubs decline? ).

Yet further regression year in, year out. This club is FAILING. That failure is at the hands of Rupp.

You simply cannot ignore his record on CEO turnover, management turnover, falling attendances, year on year regression in league position and diabolical Cup record.

And some fans question this stance above (BTW. Each fans most definitely have the right to express their feelings on Rupp on either side of the spectrum)

I'm not making up figures to suit my agenda. This is simply shocking under Rupp.

I'm like you @WilsdenBantam@WilsdenBantam, I want the guy out. I wish no harm on him or his family and wish him well in his future.

But one day, hopefully, that will not be with Bradford City.

Sorry @WilsdenBantam@WilsdenBantam I can't agree on this one, will the penny only drop when all fans have the same opinion, surely that's what makes forums so divisive each fan/supporter having a different point of view with regards their club, I'd say every Bradford City fan has the same pre season hopes and want the team to be successful.

I'm not sure that is anywhere near accurate, Fiacre Kelleher £1,300 the lad on a two year deal who we picked up from Wrexham, nah.

The penny will drop on an individual basis it’s not something as a collective, I used to back Rupp and Rahic probably for too long but sometimes you have to look at themes and trends to see where the issues lay. Naturally we all want success, trouble is it doesn’t feel likely without change. Hopefully the new head of recruitment can pick out some gems and Hughes can make them click because if it doesn’t work this time then I don’t know where the hierarchy has left to turn.

Jeez it's the fans fault now. Christ you are taking the piss.

Nothing to do with shit recruitment for the last 5 years or so?

@JonButterfield@JonButterfield get that banner dusted off-it's your fault we are plummeting down the league. Apparently.

    No just the poor owner....

As for "fans fault", I questioned "some of our fans being apathetic towards our owner"

For reference : apathetic.... showing or feeling no interest, enthusiasm, or concern.

    No "fault" mentioned.

QUOTE="andyc, post: 633862, member: 1283"]Or maybe Vernom, Paudie and Watt are players he would like to keep. All have been linked with clubs from the league above and their wage demands are above what we can afford to pay without putting too much strain on what is left for other signings.[/QUOTE]

I get that Andy but how the hell are you supposed to get promoted to a league above when you can't retain players who are better than the league you are in.

Complete madness if we don't back Hughes to the hilt with what he wants and needs.

when are fans going to stop calling out their fellow supporters and what gives them the right to.
What the hell is a happy clapper . I can assure you that even after 46 years of watching city, i am still as mad as hell when we lose, it spoils my bloody weekend. I certainly don't go to watch city because i am bored.
I am not sure many fans are over keen on the owner and how we have dropped from the verge of the championship to lower league 2.
We all want to see the club win promotion

Fair comment. How does this perceived apathy from some (actual % figure not defined as yet) of fans actually affect the owner then? How is that manifesting itself in our decline over the years? Seeing as you brought this up.

I think Paudie was linked with Sheff wed , Watt with Hull , Vernom i am not sure. If the first two are correct, i do not think many clubs at our level could compete with those two. Money talks and players have very little loyalty, £500 per week extra, could mean a 33% pay rise to these guys and the way the economy is going, who could blame them.
Also we have frozen season ticket prices and city are not immune from inflation.
Its a difficult one, higher prices , more income? Less customers, less income , reduced budget.
I not sure many clubs will increase their budgets in league 2 next season.
