No, Nev is desperate to get out of the league. He knows its poor league to be attached to and has no value.

However, he expects things to happen quickly as part owner of a club. He said on on that Salford programme they didn't realise what Div 2 was about last season. Clearly gave the manager 6 months and the club wasn't in the automatic spots. I don't mind that but they are doing well. Salford will kick on next season.

 

Spot on this and with Doyle it really isn't hard. Get men in the box and Doyle will be around the centre spot. Pick him out and he will finish.

What Doyle does outside the box doesn't matter.

 

I think you will see a combination of the 2 this summer - they aren't daft Fordy, if we just sign unknown players it will have an impact on the morale of fans and more practically season ticket sales. But I think what we are doing is casting the net far and wide to build a better squad which will include lesser known players (jbut hopefully 1 or 2 hidden gems) and to ensure we also have the funds to sign the quality players we desperately need (I agree with you totally on this point)

 

Their next manager who joined them last week Gary Bowyer or their next manager after they have given Gary Bowyer the sack?

Unknown players? I don't know about you but I'd never heard of Rory, Darbs, Reidy, Mezza or Nakhi before they came. Didn't turn out too bad did they?

 

Think you need to improve you footballing knowledge if you didn't know of Rory, Darbs, Reidy, Mezza before they joined.

Only Nakhi was an unknown really.

 

I don't doubt Fordy that you did know about them. Along with a few others on here. But I reckon the vast majority of City fans of the time didn't know anything about them. And I mean knowing what they were like as opposed to having heard the name or having seen them once the season before. Maybe I should spend more time on other club's fan's websites.

 

In truth, not since our two Hammers have we had any loan player that has made any real difference for us. Home grown and decent signings most definitely the way forward for me.

 

Really? Rory had already played 200 league games for Rochdale and Aberdeen when we signed him, and Darbs was 70 games into his professional career. Reid and Mezza too, were very notable already.

 

City who you always criticise have just drawn level on points with Salford, whom you say are doing well.

 

And are so full of nouse and ambition they've appointed Gary Bowyer as manager til the end of the season. That's a team who really want to go up.

 

Or just understand that they are more clubs in the world than Bradford City

 

hmmm You might have failed to understand that Salford have never been in the football league until two seasons ago.

Bradford City we in Div 1 two seasons ago.

So it's Bradford that are failing when you are even comparing them being midtable like us.

 

Not relevant Fordy and you know this. Salford have a phenomenal budget and have massively under achieved. You’ve probably forgotten as you seem to have the memory of a goldfish but we had an horrendous start under the previous manager and drawing level with them after they had a considerable lead over us in December is credit to the club and the current managers. However no doubt you want them both sacked alongside Sparks.

 

Perhaps Unknown is the wrong term. Clearly as you say they had all played lots of games. But I still maintain that the vast majority of City fans didn't know them before they turned up. And as I said earlier I mean know them as opposed to having maybe heard of them.

You say Salford are doing well and we aren't, yet Salford have a bigger budget than us and are in a similar position in the league table.

You constantly knock Gary Bowyer, yet Salford have just appointed him manager.

Bowyer is an awful appointment but its until the end of the season and it will be unless he somehow takes them up.

My point is Salford have only been in the league for 2 season. Bradford City were in div 1 two seasons ago and really shouldn't be at the same level of bloody Salford.

Bradford City is one failure of a club. These are the facts at the moment but hopefully on and off the pitch we can improve.
