True, but he's not a free agent and wouldn't be unless Swindon paid him off before he signed. I also read they have a squad limit that is lower than normal efl rules because of their transgressions.

That said, he doesn't fill me with excitement, I much rather we tried to tempt Paddy Madden back from non league at Stockport

 

No chance of tempting Madden. The reason he dropped to non league was the mega bucks offered by Stockport.

I suspect we will now see a loan player or two coming in before next window closes

 

Hope we don’t get any more injuries, we’ve had some dreadful league 2 loanees over the year. Andrew Davies and Cook been the main exceptions, but I don’t think we’ll be getting anyone in their prime some how.

I don't blame him. It's going to be hard to bring in another striker. Whoever comes in is clearly behind Cook in the pecking order and will be on the bench for the forseeable. No one who's had any degree of success will want to come in to a team playing broadly one up front with an established striker. That's why Angol worked so well. He thought he'd hit the jackpot and was happy and flexible enough to play in the three behind Cook and up top when he could during the games.
