Wellens has said hes a good bloke. He is trying to get rid so suppose that helps but he would just stay quiet if he was a prick.

Ive heard previously of attitude issues though but could be just gossip. The lad does have quality - we just need him to rediscover it. Adams seems to have a decent track record with forwards.

 

FLW says he could be the final part of our Jigsaw. If that isn't a curse of death then what is ?

Looks alright. Some shocking defending highlighted on that "news reel". Nice to see him sitting on the shoulder of the last man. you can't take advantage of all those poor pass backs if not!

I wouldn't believe all that's written.

 

Short term from his point of view I can see why he wouldn’t want to drop a division and take a pay cut, but he’s in the last year of his contract and not done anything of note in 4 years. A short sighted approach imo if he’s serious about kick starting his career.

 

It wasnt an opinion piece, it was Wellens saying he has rejected the move and he doesnt see it going anywhere.

Looks like it is dead in the water. If Bogle isnt interested in the opportunity then I dont see Adams or Sparks wanting to throw more money at him.

Its dead for me.

 

No point chasing him, if he was confident in his own ability he’d leave to earn less now back himself to bang goals in and get a bigger and longer contract next season. Obviously he’s happy to spend the last year of his contract out of favour, his choice but a year down the line the offers maybe even worse then he thinks they are now.

 

I can see there being quite a discrepency between what he's earning in league 1 and the offers that have been tabled. Looks like Doncaster are trying to drum up interest before deadline day. Tough because theyve admitted to the player he has no future, they're in the same position we were with Vaughan only its the club that wants the player to leave not the player himself.

 

He will be an Olympian by the time Adams and the fitness team get after him. I’m sure it will be discussed at interview. I’m more than certain it will be made known he ain’t coming for an easy life for sure!

 

It may not have been down to wage but length of contract, but suppose we’ll never know now. Onto the next target as we do need someone in quick.

 

If this is the case Rod, and we have no reason to doubt it, then he’s written his interview already. Sparks and Adams won’t buy that , of that I’m reasonably sure.

He has the option to stay where he is and doing nothing to earn his wages as opposed to doing something with what left of his career to finally prove himself , says it’s out of our hands.

Key point. There seems to be a real unity within the squad right now. But Adams will know what the score is.
