Non other than ex City player Jake Speight.

 

Bogle has played at a much higher level than oteh will ever play at, I’d be very happy with bogle there’s a player in there maybe adams can give him the love he needs and get him firing again!

 

Since Grimsby a lot of good managers including one who loves strikers Warnock believed they could get the best of Bogle.
He hasn’t fulfilled the promise he showed at Grimsby

 

Warnock was in the championship and PL tbf, but different to this farmers league. As competition for Cook I’d love to see who we’ll get who’s better who we can realistically get, I’m all ears.

 

What’s the craic with Bogle? Would a fee be involved? Aren’t wages a big issue??

I noticed Kwesi Appiah, whose name was bandied around last season, signed for Crawley and scored on his debut at the weekend (they lost 3-6).

Bogles had 120 games and scored 19 goals since leaving Grimsby in Jan. Doesn't sound great but when you break it down to minutes, it's a goal every 324 mins which isn't as tragic. Looking over his spells since Grimsby, he seems to start pretty quickly, then after not finding the net ends up on the bench until he inevitably wants out. Seems to be very much a "needs to be in the mood" type player.

After a short stint with Wigan, he moved to Cardiff on £7K a week. I remember when Peterborough loaned him, their chairman had a bit of a rant on twitter that summer about loaning from leagues above and having to pay the premiums these days after loaning him and pay all his £7k wages for 1 goal in return. He's had that many failed starts in such a short space of time, it's probably a last chance in the English Leagues for him before teams are just put off completely.

He did an interview with BBC before a little before he signed for Donny last year, describing his free time as a free agent. Keeps himself busy whilst sat at home at least....
"I started recording music in May. I've been writing music for the past five or six years. We have a lot of spare time as footballers. Music is like my therapy."

 

Clean slate if he signs, not really bothered what he has done previously - last few years at higher level anyway.

Back to L2 football in a very competetive team. He will get service and has a good manager who will attempt to get the best out out of him. If Adams thinks he can find the player from 2016 again then so be it. With Angol out we need a striker.

 

Lets see what transpires but look at what Adams has done with Angol, Evans(Dare I say it), and recently Vernam . It’s early days we know, but he certainly knows how to give players a bit of faith in their own ability . Who would have thought, just a few days ago, that Vernam is currently undroppable??
