There are two separate issues going on here, but they are NOT linked nor mutually compatible.

Bogle has a contract with Donny, it’s Donny’s FIRST responsibility to settle that contract, no one else’s, just Donny.

No2
What a future club may or may not pay him in wages AFTER he has left Donny, is in NO WAY anything to do with No1.

They are not linked, nor mutually compatible anything else is fanciful financial smoke and mirrors because we, nor any other club ARE not going to pay him wages higher than what he’s on now, because that’s what the “ compensatory “ factory would mean. ie another club picking up his current contract shortfall. That’s plain daft!

Bogle and his managing agent is right to demand No 1 is dealt with wholly and separately FIRST.

The fact he isn’t coming is irrelevant, the fact we probably all agree he would likely be a loose cannon signing going against the CEO/ Managers entire philosophy is beside the point.

He has Donny over a barrel and Wellans knows it.

 

There's also the possibility that all this is manufactured by Wellens just to shift on a higher earner (maybe even at the request of the chairman).

Happens all the time at football clubs and it's sometimes difficult to see through the smoke and mirrors so often the player just gets the blame and tarnished with the lazy "bad attitude" rumours.

Let's put it this way, there's not many of us that would happily just walk away from around £80K over the next 8 months.

 

If the Wellens comment is correct I'd say his time to fight for his place has long gone.

Alan Nixon this morning is still of the opinion that we are chasing him and that Bogle is trying to negotiate a payoff from Donny

 

Nixons hit ratio on his rumours is woeful but jerks himself daft when he gets one right. Serial blocker on social media to anyone who questions his crap.

 

honestly it wouldn't surprise me if he just read it on here or on donny forum and just repeated it. if he gets it wrong few notice those who do call him out get a fat block. he always wins.

Not that I'm giving any credence to what Nixon is saying but Adams' response was we've not made an offer as he'll be wanting too much and so would need to go to one of the higher payers in the league. Given the way we've apparently been giving a figure to players and telling them to like it or lump, it could be we've given a figure and the rest is mind games for Bogle and Donny to sort out the shortfall between themselves if they want the move to happen. Could be, I'm not saying it definitely is

 

He has to drop his demands to sign for us or Donnie up their pay off. A deal to the end of the season. I think this will happen but Adam's is calling his bluff.

 

Only the one opinion counts......the managers, his job depends on getting these sort of calls right, I assume he was a Brono signing, no Idea what the lad Bogle is on but if he ain't going to be selected it's money a club like Doncaster can't be shelling out for a bench warmer IMO.

 

Nixon’s source will most likely be his agent, that’s mostly what he used for to drum up a bit of discussion and interest. But enough rumours out there and the odd one sticks.

They have to pay him his contracted salary, why should they “up” it?

And if Bogle decides to stay then Wellens will have no choice in considering him at some stage. Its up to Bogle to take his chance.

Its all well and good Wellens trying to break the contract and force him out but he wouldnt be so enthusiastic if Bogle was an asset and trying to move on.

Doncaster need to pay him up to go and its as simple as that.

 

Bit worried, if this is the only rumour, albeit a non story. Simple fact is, we’re a body down with no one to really replace him. Crankshaw maybe can fill in, but still leaves us a striker short. All well and good when we’re winning games, but we’re short of an option when we have to chase the game.

How many times did you leave a job for a post that offered a lower salary? How many on here know what his attitude to his job and workmates is?

 

Yes of course money is important but football isn’t an ordinary job if you are lucky enough to be good enough to be a professional player you want to be playing in what is a short career.
If he can negotiate to get a pay off so he can join another club all well and done but he doesn’t want to be out of sight for a year even if it means a pay cut
